Give us an over view on the CE industry, latest technology trends
and market dynamics. What are the types of construction equipment
currently in demand.
I can confidently say that India is on the threshold of becoming a global
construction equipment manufacturing hub in the next 7-10 years. With
rapid urbanization and infrastructure activities across the country, we
expect the Indian construction equipment market to cross $ 4.7 billion
by 2025. Government has increased the budget on the development of
roads, metro rails, flyovers, ports and commercial complexes which will
definitely benefit the infrastructure sector, creating growth opportunities
in the market.
The construction equipment industry is using technology in a very big
way. Today we can see that most of the equipment that is made and
sold in India has got internet connectivity for getting data about the
equipment’s performance. Such data is being utilised by customers
on a daily basis to improve the efficiency of their operations. The
construction equipment industry is working very aggressively to further
improve the AI so that customers will have ease of operations.
