POST EVENT REPORT MAHINDRA TRANSPORT EXCELLENCE AWARDS
Special Recognition Award Rivigo Service Super Outperformer Driver Award - C.S. Elangovan, R Gopal Transport
“I fervently hope we can talk about two critical changes next year. First,
road accidents coming down dramatically. We all
know the statistics of 400 fatalities a day currently and
hope we celebrate drastic reduction in road accidents
next year, as a result of more awareness, better roads,
more training and new generation vehicle technology.
Secondly, drivers being seen as assets and not as
problems. More investment in training and creation of
new drivers, better social policies to bring more 'izzat'
(respect) to this profession, and creation of world-
class highway amenities, will herald a wave of change.
The theme this year is about change that is likely to hit the Indian transport
sector and transform the entire scenario. Mahindra transport Excellence

“We have added Small, Light and Intermediate
Commercial Vehicle segments to the Awards this

Indian economy through last mile deliveries. Nearly
18 lac SCVs run on Indian roads. Every year about 7
lac commercial vehicles are sold in India and about 58
per cent of this segment is SCV. That's how large and
important SCV is as a part of the overall commercial
vehicles in the country. And this segment is growing
at a phenomenal rate of 22 per cent.”
