of Finolex Cables since its inception. He has been heavily involved with industry bodies and local
associations to work closely with other stakeholders and contribute towards the growth of the
industry and economy further. Deepak has been a Director on the Board of the Indian Electrical
and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) and has also served as the Chairman of the
Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)-Pune Chapter. Deepak also serves as a Director on the
Finolex J -Power Systems Ltd., Finolex Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., Orbit Electricals Pvt. Ltd. and Corning
Finolex Optical Fibre Pvt. Ltd boards. Deepak has been awarded ‘The Most Promising Business
Leaders of Asia 2020-21’ award by The Economic Times.
Deepak completed his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Evansville Indiana, USA. In his leisure
time, he is a voracious reader, an avid painter, and a photography enthusiast.

Amitava Mukherjee, Chairman and Managing Director, NMDC, is an Indian Railway Accounts
Service (IRAS) officer from the 1995 batch, has a Master’s in Commerce from Guru Ghasidas
Vishwavidyalaya in Bilaspur and is also a Cost Accountant. Amitava’s leadership enabled the
timely completion of NMDC Steel Ltd’s demerger from NMDC Ltd. His areas of expertise are
project management, digital initiatives, and policy formulation.
Amitava has successfully led the Australia operations of NMDC to the pre-production stage (gold)
and also finalised a strategic tie-up with a significant international mining giant Hancock. He has
also prospected quickly and capitalised on an iron ore mining tenement. Amitava served as Rail
Vikas Nigam Ltd.’s General Manager (Finance) before joining NMDC. Amitava worked with IRAS from
1997 to 2016 and held a crucial position with the Eastern Railroad. Amitava spent the years 1994 to 1997 working for Indian
Oil Company Ltd. before joining IRAS.

Jaspreet Bhullar, Chief Executive Officer, Hindustan Construction Company Limited, is
a seasoned Management and Project Management professional with over 30 years of
experience. His entire career has been in the Construction Industry in various senior leadership,
management, and executive roles. Prior to joining HCC, Jaspreet was Managing Director. At
Multiplex Constructions India, a Brookfield Company. Prior to Multiplex, Jaspreet worked as
CEO & Head with Leighton India Contractors, LG Engineering & Construction Corp (now GS
E&C), Oriental Structural Engineers, Continental Construction - Balfour Beatty - Foundation (now
AeCON). Jaspreet’s experience spans various sectors in Infrastructure space like Highways &
Expressways, Incrementally launched & Cable-Stayed Bridges, Hydroelectric Projects, Township Infrastructure & Buildings.
Jaspreet has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree focused on Civil from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh & GDM (Technology
Management) Degree from Deakin University, Melbourne.

Aalok Kumar, Chairman, President, and CEO, NEC Corporation, will spearhead the Global
Smart Cities Business as Corporate Officer & Senior Vice President - Head of Global Smart City
Business. He will continue to lead the business in India. Aalok will continue to forge partnerships
with the Government and private sector, pursuant to the company’s vision of “In India, for India”
and “From India, for Global,”
As part of his new roles and responsibilities, Aalok will spearhead the Global Smart Cities Business
of NEC Corporation, a leading provider of IT and network technologies, drawing on his extensive
experience in senior leadership roles in business transformation, performance improvement,
and margin expansion. Before taking up the role as the President, and CEO at NEC India in
2020, Aalok served as the Senior Vice President of McKinsey & Company. He has also worked in
companies like GE Healthcare, GE Capital and ABN Amro Bank.
