Shantanu Roy, Chairman & Managing Director, BEML Limited, has over 3 decades of
extensive experience in the capital goods sectors, including Defence, Mining & Construction,
Transportation, Transmission, Renewable Energy, and large-scale power projects, he brings a
wealth of knowledge and expertise to his position.
Shantanu’s career at BEML has been marked by significant achievements. As Director of
the Mining and Construction Business, he drove substantial performance improvements,
and led Northern Region operations, strategy, new initiatives, coordination, and International
Business Division. Under his leadership as CMD, BEML has achieved several milestones,
including the test firing of India’s first indigenously designed and manufactured 1500 HP
engine for combat vehicles, the commissioning of the car body structure for India’s maiden
Vande Bharat Sleeper trainset, and the launch of the country’s first electric rope shovel. He has spearheaded the creation
of 13 strategic business units from three main divisions—defence & aerospace, rail & metro, and mining & construction—to
reinforce the company’s legacy of innovation and indigenization. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from NIT Raipur and
holding an MBA in Financial Management, Shantanu has been honoured with prestigious awards such as “CEO of the Year
– PSU (Defence & Aerospace)” from the World HRD Congress and the “CMD Leadership Award 2024” from the Governance
Now PSU Awards. As a Six Sigma Black Belt certified professional and a seasoned global executive, Shantanu excels in project
financing, financial closure processes for large projects, international laws, arbitration rules, and legal compliances. He is
passionate about reading, traveling, playing cricket and motivating youngsters.

POWER MAN

Mohan Shanmugam, Overall Head of Projects, Kshema Power, is a distinguished veteran
in the energy sector, bringing over three decades of extensive, cross-functional experience
in executing large-scale power and transmission infrastructure across diverse markets in
the Middle East and India. Most recently, as Senior Project Director at Al Gihaz Holding in
Saudi Arabia, he demonstrated exceptional leadership, managing the end-to-end delivery
of crucial Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission and Smart RMU projects with a combined
value exceeding SAR 3.8 billion. This comprehensive management covered everything from
competitive bidding and tendering to robust execution and complex financial alignment
across varied geographical locations. Furthermore, his background includes leading senior
execution teams for critical wind energy projects at prominent companies such as Senvion India and Alfanar - India. In
his capacity as Overall Head of Projects, Mohan will introduce a strategic framework to enhance Kshema Power’s delivery
capabilities by standardizing project management, optimizing staffing, speeding up execution timelines for key contracts,
managing client relationships, and strengthening on-site delivery across the company.

DYNAMIC LEADER

Shrivats Singhania, Dy. Managing Director, JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd, is a dynamic leader
with a strong academic and professional background. As a key member of the esteemed
JK Group, Shrivats has been instrumental in advancing the group’s industrial initiatives. During
his tenure, Udaipur Cement Works Ltd. (UCWL), a subsidiary of JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd.,
achieved significant milestones. These include expanding solar power generation capacity
to 15.45 MW, launching Rajasthan’s first floating solar project, and commissioning a state-
of-the-art cement grinding unit in 2024, which doubled UCWL’s production capacity to 4.70
MTPA. His strategic vision and innovative approach continue to drive sustainable growth and
operational excellence.
Shrivats holds a graduate degree from IILM, New Delhi, in partnership with Bradford University,
U.K., and an Associate of Arts from the USA. His commitment to continuous learning is reflected in his participation in globally
recognized management programs, including those at Harvard Business School, London Business School, and IIM Lucknow.

ALL ROUNDER

Adarsh Hegde, Managing Director, Allcargo Logistics Ltd,, has been associated with
Allcargo Logistics since its inception. With over three decades of experience in the field of
logistics, he has been instrumental in the success of Allcargo Logistics growth story. Under his
leadership, Allcargo Logistics established CFS & ICD facilities Pan India, making Allcargo CFS &
ICD division one of the largest private players in the country. He continues to lead the blue print
and strategy for the division. With his extensive experience & proficiency in transportation, he
has contributed to the set-up the Allcargo Logistics Forwarding division.
Adarsh is also a part of the leadership team at ECU Worldwide with respect to driving
international procurement initiative and organisation-wide planning. After finishing his
mechanical engineering from Nitte Education Trust, Mangalore, he started his career as an
Assistant Maintenance Engineer with Eastern Ceramics Private Limited, Mumbai in 1987.
