PROFILE EXECUTIVE CONNECT Namitesh Roy Choudhury, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, LANXESS India, backed
INNOVATIVE LEADER

by over 30 years of experience, has executed several projects at the greenfield LANXESS
manufacturing site in Jhagadia, Gujarat, including state-of-the-art ion exchange resins
plant for business unit Liquid Purification Technologies, compounding facility for business unit
High Performance Materials and relocation of the Rubber Chemicals business and Rubber
Compounding facilities. Namitesh has been the Executive Director since 1 October, 2021 and
Vice President, Industrial & Environmental Affairs for LANXESS India since 2007. He moved to the
LANXESS India organization in 2004 after the carve out from Bayer as the Head of Production,
Technology, Safety & Environment (PTSE) and Capital Investment.
Namitesh spent 16 years at Bayer in various departments such as plant engineering, central engineering and energy & environment
projects. He also spent three years in China executing projects for Bayer. Prior to joining Bayer, also worked with the Tata Group in
the beginning of his career. Namitesh is also the Chair of the Indian Bromine Platform (IBP).

ENERGETIC LEADER

Akhil Gupta, CEO, Shapoorji Pallonji E&C, additionally, he would be Executive Director on the Board
of Shapoorji Pallonji and Company Private Limited. Akhil has 40+ years of industry experience and
has been with Shapoorji Pallonji’s group company AFCONS Infrastructure, since 2014. He was
Executive Director (Operations) and whole-time Member of the Board at AFCONS, responsible
for the Surface Transport (Roads, Railways and Bridges) business line, both in India and overseas.
He has led several large and prestigious projects and spearheaded the significant growth of the
business line, in India, South Asia, Africa and Middle East.
Prior to joining AFCONS, Akhil was MD of Petron Civil and has delivered multiple construction
projects for IT Parks, Cement Plants, Power Plants, Refineries & Petrochemical complexes, etc. He
has also had long and successful stints with Punj Lloyd and IRCON. Akhil is a Graduate in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee and a
Post-Graduate in Management from IIT Delhi.

Harrish Ratanchand Jain, MD, H Rishabraj Group (HRG) of Builders and Developers, is the

Ganesh Mani, President & Chief of Operations, Ashok Leyland Ltd, will head the entire
Operations that include Manufacturing and Sourcing & Supply Chain. Ganesh brings over 3
decades of rich experience to Ashok Leyland and his expertise in the fields of Manufacturing
Process, Strategy and formulation is well-known.
Ganesh joins Ashok Leyland from Hyundai Motors where he was the Director of Manufacturing
Operations. He was also the Member of Board of Directors at Hyundai. Ganesh has over three
decades of experience working extensively with Maruti Suzuki Ltd and Hyundai Motors India
Ltd. Being a process driven strategic leader, he has been a pioneer in innovating new ways of
Operations and challenging the conventional methods.
Ganesh has 7 patents / Copyrights to his credit for the special Manufacturing Processes. He is
also currently serving as Vice Chairman – CII Chennai Zone.
