L&T Construction bags EPC orders

L&T Construction bagged two EPC projects of Gunjawani project piped distribution network, including Narayanpur lift irrigation scheme from Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation-WRD, Pune.The Water and Effluent Treatment Business of L&T Construction has secured orders from prestigious clients from two states in India.

In Maharashtra scope includes survey, investigation, design, procurement, construction of gravity mains, installation of pumping system, rising main line /branch lines/automated outlet management system (OMS) at every 24 Hectare-chak / distribution network up to 3 Hectare-sub chak. It includes preparation of relevant documents to form a Water User Association, as per MMISSF Act 2005 for the command area, to build capacity of farmers for maximum crop yield. The will irrigate 21,392 hectares of (CCA) in Taluk Velhe, Bhor and Purandar of Pune district, by drawing water from Gunjawani Dam.

In Odisha an EPC order has been secured from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department to execute two individual rural piped water supply projects in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district. Project scope includes design/construction of two Intake structures, two water treatment plants, 1,745 km of transmission and distribution pipelines, 58 overhead service reservoirs, 9 booster pumping stations and associated electromechanical & instrumentation works, including automated measurement of input and output water quantity and quality through suitable SCADA & other instrumentation works, to provide drinking water to 273 villages in Jharsuguda District.

NHPC bags Govt. of HP project..

NHPC  signed a (MoU) with Government of Himachal Pradesh for the execution of 449 MW Dugar HE Project located in Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh.

The project is a run of the river scheme on Chenab River. The estimated present-day cost of the project is Rs.4,112cr and will generate 1610 MUs in a 90% dependable year with 95% machine availability.

GMRC  revives IECCL contract

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IECCL) has received approval form Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited for revival of contract  for construction of viaduct corridor from interface point with Gyaspur Depot.

The brief terms for revival of the contract are 1) Period: To complete the balance work within a time period of 15 months without any change in financial terms oforiginal contract 2) Commencement: The Work shall recommence by September 12, 2019 3) Contract Value: Rs.382.22cr 4) Works done: Rs.213.24cr 5) Value of balance work: Rs.168.98cr.

Walchandnagar Industries wins ISRO  contract

Walchandnagar Industries Ltd (WIL) secured an order worth Rs.77.2cr plus escalation from the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre of ISRO located at Thiruvananthapuram. It includes  manufacturing and supply of Head, Middle, and Nozzle End segments (total 30 nos) for the GSLV M Klll launch vehicle. It is WlL’s second-largest single order from ISRO and the largest as far as the GSLV-M Klll launch vehicle is concerned. This order is a significant milestone for aerospace business of WIL as it contributes to a strong order book in this strategic segment.

Kridhan Infra has secured an order worth Rs. 112cr, for widening of Trumpet from 2 lanes to 4 lanes from Bengaluru city to airport and back, and other associated infrastructure work for Bengaluru International Airport.

BHEL wins order in Chhattisgarh BHEL has bagged an order worth

Rs.450 crore for supply and installation of emission control equipment for a Bhilai expansion power project in Chhattisgarh. “Valued at around Rs.450 crore, the order has been placed... by NTPC-SAIL Power Company (a joint venture of NTPC and SAIL” BHEL said in a statement. The order involves supply and installation of flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) system. Scope of work includes design, engineering, civil works, supply, erection and commissioning of wet FGD system along with auxiliaries including limestone and gypsum handling system and wet stack on turnkey basis. The order involves supply and installation of flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) system.

L&T Construction bags CIDCO project

Larsen & Toubro construction arm has bagged contract from the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd (CIDCO) to construct 23,432 dwelling units at various locations in Navi Mumbai. L&T said the project, being part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), envisages construction of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) type of dwelling units.L&T said the project, being part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), envisages construction of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income category. The building configurations vary from 13 to 20 storeys. This is a fast track project to be completed within stringent timelines, the company added.

CIDCO order for Capacite Infra

Capacit’e Infraprojects Limited, has received maiden order from City & Industriai Development Corporation of Maharashtra, for a contract value of  Rs.45020 million (excluding GST) for construction of approximately 21,346 dwelling units with a development of commercial area and onsite infrastructure works at Navi Mumbai.

Wipro bags ICICI contractWipro received 7-yr contract worth $300 mn from ICICI Bank for digital services. Wipro Limited, has secured a strategic seven-year engagement, valued at $300 million, from ICICI Bank, a leading Indian private sector bank, to provide a comprehensive suite of services.  “This engagement will further strengthen our endeavor to provide differentiated technology and digital capabilities to the financial services industry” the company said.

Wipro has a significant presence as an IT services provider in the global banking and financial services sector. Wipro provides innovative solutions to banks by leveraging Wipro HOLMES, the Company’s Artificial Intelligence platform. This transaction is expected to be completed during the quarter ending September 30, 2019 and is subject to customary closing conditions.

L&T JV bags order for THDC India’s STPP

Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro said its joint venture firm L&T-MHPS Boilers has bagged a “large” order for supply and commissioning of steam generator at THDC India’s super thermal power project in Uttar Pradesh. L&T-MHPS Boilers (LMB) is a joint venture of Larsen a Toubro (L&T) and Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS), while THDC is a JV between the government of India and the government of Uttar Pradesh.

As per its project classification, the value of the contracts were in “large” category which is in the range of Rs. 2,500 to Rs.5,000 crore. “The scope of work for LMB includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of Steam Generator and associated packages, including site levelling, for THDC’s 2×660 mega watt (MW) Khurja Super Thermal Power Project in Bulandshahar district, Uttar Pradesh. L&T said LMB is currently executing nine units of steam generator packages for similar large capacity steam generators (660 MW) in India totalling 5,940 MW.

BHEL wins Rs.2,500 cr orders for emission control systems

BHEL has technology collaborations with Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS), Japan, for FGD systems and with HLB Power, Republic of Korea, for Large size Gates and Dampers. BHEL said it has bagged two orders of Rs.2500 crore from NTPC for emission control equipment for thermal power plants. The orders involve supply and installation of flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) systems for 13 coal-based units at 2,600 MW Korba STPS Stage I, II & III in Chhattisgarh and 2,100 MW Ramagundam STPS Stage I & II in Telangana, an official statement said.

BHEL’s scope of work includes design, supply and commissioning of wet FGD system along with auxiliaries including limestone and gypsum handling system and wet stack on turnkey basis, it said. BHEL has technology collaborations with (MHPS), Japan, for FGD systems and with HLB Power, Republic of Korea, for Large size Gates and Dampers. BHEL has bagged FGD orders for 54 thermal units from various thermal plants including FGD systems for 40 thermal units of NTPC and its JVs.

Power Mech Projects bags orders

It bagged a Rs.62-crore operation and maintenance services contract for two 600 MW units at coal-based Singareni Thermal Power Plant in Telangana. The company also bagged a Rs.13-crore contract for electrical and C&I maintenance at NTPC Khargone (2x660 MW) for a period of 36 months. The other contracts include maintenance of boiler and auxiliaries and BOP at NTPC Khargone of Rs.13 crore and a long-term manitaining job at Meja Thermal Power Plant, which will earn the company Rs. 27 crore.

Indian Hume Pipe receives LoI

The company received letter for Gowardhan project from Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation, Nagpur. The project is to be completed within 18 months, Indian Hume Pipe said, adding the agreement will be signed in due course.

Pennar Industries bags major orders

Pennar Industries Limited bagged orders worth Rs.538 cr during the months of June and July 2019. Pennar has received multiple orders aggregating Rs.538cr across its business verticals. The Railways business vertical received orders aggregating Rs.66cr from customers such as Integrated Coach Factory,

Rail Coach Factory, Universal Engineering, Konkan Railways, BEML and others.

The Pre-engineered building division received significant orders aggregating Rs.211cr comprising factory buildings, warehouses and solar. These orders were received from new and repeat customers such as Tata Steel, Wipro, Bharti Infra, Mylan Laboratories, Asian Fabtech, Whitehouse India, SPML Infra, Natco, MRF and Cyient. The order book position for Pre-engineered buildings division as on June 30, 2019 was Rs. 554 cr.

The Tubes division received orders worth Rs.77 cr from ALF Engineering, MG Automotives, Maruthi Auto and Patton International among others; The Industrial Components division received orders worth Rs.37cr from Emerson, Endurance, Tecumseh, Yamaha, Wabco, Firestone and others.

The Environmental and Water Treatment division received order aggregating Rs.26cr from GMR and JSW for water treatment and effluent treatment plants. The order book for this division as on June 30, 2019 stands at Rs. 86 cr.

MSPHC order for  Vascon Engineers

Vascon Engineers Limited has received tender from Maharashtra State Police Housing & Welfare Corporation Limited (MSPHC) (A Government of Maharashtra Undertaking) to build Staff Quarters along with multipurpose hall, in Mumbai amounting to Rs.4650 million.

The work has been awarded on ‘Lump sum Basise and is to be completed within 36 months from the date of receipt of this tender.
