Contract Value $5.6 billion

RAIL CONTRACT FOR GE & ALSTOM

Indian railways have awarded contracts worth $5.6 billion to General Electric and Alstom to supply new locomotives.  France based Alstom will supply 800 electric locomotives and also build a factory in Bihar. The contract is valued at Rs.200 billion. GE on the other hand will provide the railways with 1,000 diesel locomotives over the next 11 years as well as invest $200 million in plant and maintenance sheds. The deal is worth $2.6 billion.

 

Contract Value Rs. 60 cr.

POWER MECH BAGS LANCO ORDER

Power Mech Projects secured two orders worth Rs.60 crore from Lanco Infratech to complete expansion works at its Ennore Thermal Power Station in Tamil Nadu. As per the order achieved Power Mech will be delivering its services in the expansion activities of the 660 MW Supercritical Thermal Unit. The first order is for erection, testing, commissioning and providing assistance for PG test for boiler – A&B Package worth Rs.50.96 crore. The second order on the other hand relates to erection, testing and commissioning and providing assistance for PG test for electro static precipitator package worth Rs.8.87 crore.

 

Contract Value Rs. 1,023.62 cr.

PRATIBHA BAGS WATER SUPPLY PROJECT

Pratibha Industries has bagged a contract worth Rs.1,023.62 crore from the Telangana government for a water supply project. The contract was awarded by the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Government of Telangana. The scope of work as per the contract includes operation and maintenance for 10 years and providing drinking water to habitations in LMD (lower Manair Dam), Karimnagar, Ramadugu Segment as well as in LMD Manakondur, Husnabad and Huzurabad. The project is expected to be fully completed within 30 months from the date of commencement.

 

Contract Value Rs. 473 cr.

JAIN IRRIGATION WINS MSEDCL PROJECT

Jain Irrigation has secured a contract worth Rs.473 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for supply and installation of 8,959 solar agricultural pumps. The project is a part of the first pilot phase of the Solar Agri Pump project for 5 lakh pumps launched by the Maharashtra government through MSEDCL. The project covers 20 districts in Maharashtra, including the drought hit areas and traditional farmers who are do not have an access to electricity. The tender is expected to be serviced over next 6-12 months, with further operational and maintenance support to the farmers for the next five years.

 

Contract Value Rs. 2,048 cr.

MULTI SECTORAL ORDERS FOR L&T

EPC giant Larsen & Toubro has won orders worth Rs.2,048 crore across various business verticals. The company’s power transmission and distribution division has won an order from the Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd for engineering, procurement and construction of a 765 kV GIS sub-station package at Aligarh. On the other hand, the company’s transportation arm has secured orders worth Rs.732 crore from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for construction of a 6-lane elevated corridor from Chandigarh to Kharar in Punjab. Apart from this, the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation Ltd has also awarded L&T an order to design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of receiving-cum-auxiliary main-cum-traction sub-stations. The buildings and factories division meanwhile received orders worth Rs.558 crore for the construction of 13 residential towers in Chennai.

 

Contract Value Rs. 183.03  cr.

SHEL WINS NTPC ORDER 

Sunil Hitech Engineers Limited (SHEL) has secured a new order worth Rs.183.03 crore from state owned NTPC Ltd. According to the new order, SHEL will be delivering its services in Stage-I of the Kudgi Super Thermal Power project (3x800 MW). The project is expected to be fully completed within a timeframe of 30 months. SHEL aims to further strengthen its market presence and order book status for the current fiscal through the order.

 

Contract Value Rs. 320.88 cr.

TERA SOFTWARE TO LAY OPTICAL FIBER NETWORK

Tera Software Ltd has received a new order worth Rs.320.88 crore for implementation and management of Aerial Optical Fiber Grid to establish wide optical fiber network infrastructure in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The contract was awarded by Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd. As per the contract, Tera Software will lay optical fiber cable across 22,500 km over a period of 9 months. The project is a part of Digital India programme and an initiative by Andhra Pradesh State to provide internet, video and telephone services to 80 million households.
