CONSOLIDATION CZAR

Jeremy Hunter was appointed President and Country Manager for the Henkel Group, India in April 2011. Based out of the Henkel head office in Mumbai, he is responsible for the consolidation, reorganisation and growth of Henkel’s operations in India. Prior to his current position in India, he was the Country Manager of Australia and New Zealand for Henkel Adhesives business as well as President of the region. During his tenure, he led the business through major restructuring with focus on profitability and sustainability during the challenges of the global financial crisis. Hunter joined Henkel in 2002 when it acquired Sellotape New Zealand where he was the General Manager. He previously lived and worked in United Kingdom, Portugal and Turkey. He has also handled projects in Iran and the former Soviet Union. Prior to joining Henkel, he worked with Coates Viyella, SC Johnson and GlaxoSmithKline. An Englishman, he is fluent in Portuguese and holds a degree in Politics and Modern History from the University of Manchester.

Dr Matthias Kirchherr has been appointed Chief Sales Officer (CSO) for Sales and Marketing within U.I. Lapp GmbH, the leading supplier of integrated solutions and branded products in the field of cable and connection technology. With this appointment the Stuttgart-based family business is continuing to take strategic steps to strengthen its international sales activities. As the Chief Sales Officer of U.I. Lapp GmbH, Kirchherr is not only in charge of the geographical region of Europe, but also South America, Africa and the United Arab Emirates. Dr Matthias Kirchherr studied mechanical engineering and business administration and has previously been the Managing Director of several renowned international companies. Kirchherr is regarded as an ‘extraordinary expert’ with a wealth of sales experience within mechanical and plant engineering. He now wants to establish new focal points within sales to ensure that the family company has a steady course of growth and expects great opportunities in the expansion of the solutions business and development of new markets and industries.

 

 

AUTO STAR 

Dr. Andreas Lauermann has been appointed the new President and Managing Director of Volkswagen India Pvt Ltd.  With its headquarters in Pune, the German automobile giant is represented by five passenger car brands: Audi, Lamborghini, Porsche, ŠKODA, and Volkswagen. The fifty three year old holds a doctorate degree from the University of Passau and Technical University Munich. He started his career with TCW Tranfer-Centrum for Production Logistics and Technology Management in Munich before joining Volkswagen AG in 1997. After holding lead positions in Industrial Engineering with Volkswagen,Wolfsburg; Autoeuropa, Portugal and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Hannover,  Dr Lauermann moved to Volkswagen Argentina in Pacheco in 2007 as General Manager of the RPU Division. In 2010 he took over the lead of Central Industrial Engineering and Optimisation of Indirect Areas of the Volkswagen Group and in 2012, he took charge as the Head of Central Planning for FAW-VW in China. He returned to Volkswagen, Wolfsburg at the beginning of 2015 in the Area of Central Group Production Strategy and Planning.

 

 

MANAGEMENT MOGHUL

Chief Executive Officer of DB Realty, Vipul Bansal, oversees the real estate and the hospitality verticals of the DB Group. He was appointed CEO in 2012, considering his years of experience in management of diverse operations in real estate and finance. Bansal has worked in various capacities with over 15 years of experience as a general management executive, accomplished at growing and managing high performance, complex-process production and service delivery operations. Prior to joining DB Realty, he was Joint Managing Director and CEO at Indiabulls Real Estate Limited and its subsidiary, Indiabulls Power Limited from 2007 to 2012, and played a key role in building the company to its current form. He was also a founding member of Gaja Capital, a sector agnostic Private Equity Fund in India and co-founder of Contentscape, a leading knowledge and document processing and outsourcing company. Bansal holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi.
