Anup Naik is a trained architect and urban designer, and has been actively involved in profession for 21 years.He completed his graduation from BMS College of Engineering (Dept of Architecture) Bangalore and went on to specialise in Urban Design from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Along with his professional pursuit he has been an academician and involved in teaching Urban Design and varied architectural subjects. At present, he is a Partner and Director at Space Matrix Architects and Planners. Under his leadership Space Matrix is involved with various projects and across multiple verticals dealing with Urban Infrastructure, Residential, and Transportation, Hospitality, High Rise, Health Care and specialised buildings. Naik is extremely passionate about sustainable architecture and is inspired by the seamless incorporation of sustainable elements in ancient buildings. He believes the challenge for modern architects is to understand and utilize these ancient techniques in today’s context. He works tirelessly to incorporate sustainable elements into everyday work and to demystify sustainability and make it affordable and adaptable for clients. He has been the driving force behind Space Matrix’s holistic approach to green architecture and zero energy developments. Since joining Space Matrix in 2007, Anup has been involved in several award-winning projects ranging from master-planned developments to high-rise buildings. His pursuit in sustainable architecture has won him numerous accolades across the globe like the CoreNet Sustainable Leadership and Design Award New Orleans, USA and Corenet Global’s H Bruce Russell Global Innovator’s award in Phoenix, USA.




A metallurgical engineer with a degree in Financial Management, Pankaj Kulkarni joined the JSW Group in 2008 as CEO of the company’s Aluminium business. Currently designated Director, JSW Cement Limited, his present responsibilities in the group include development and operation of iron ore mines in Chile, scouting for natural resources in Latin America and Africa, and overseeing operations of JSW Cement. He is a board member of Santa Fe Mining, Chile and JSW Steel East Africa Ltd., Kenya. Kulkarni began his career in 1981 with the premier engineering firm M N Dastur & Co. Thereafter, he worked in various capacities with the Essar Group where he was responsible for the 10 million ton expansion of their Hazira Works. Kulkarni has gained huge experience from implementing and operating large projects across India, Indonesia, Korea and Chile. He is also widely travelled and exposed to cross-cultural business practices. The 1957, Belgaum, Karnataka-born JSW Cement helmsman lives in Mumbai with his family. 





James Thomas, Vice President Sales, International, Topps Products Inc., combines 20 years of service and travel to various parts of the world which enable him to oversee the operations and performance of Topps products globally. His unique perspectives and a formidable success record for getting things done owe much to his grounding in education – he has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mississippi, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas, supplemented by participation in the Stanford University Executive Program in Strategy and Organisation. He is currently engaged in the Executive PhD program in Business through Oklahoma State University with emphasis in International Business and Customer Retention and Recovery. Thomas’ combined experiences give him a great basis for understanding critical issues. He is a fluent communicator in English, Japanese and German, and has additional skills in French and Spanish languages. Thomas enjoys traveling, reading, studying history, relishes challenges and works “hands-on” to achieve successful outcomes. 





With more than two decades of wide-ranging IT industry and management experience, not to mention an enviable track record of increasing market share, winning key customers and leading effective teams, Deb Deep Sengupta brings solidity and strength to SAP India as the new Managing Director, SAP Indian Subcontinent. He will now drive the company’s growth strategy and operations in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. He was most recently the Chief Operating Officer for SAP Indian Subcontinent where he provided leadership and direction to SAP’s multi-functional sales and operations organisations in India, driving continuous productivity improvements, and significantly contributing to the achievement of revenue and profitability objectives. He has been an integral part of SAP’s leadership team in India for the last decade, more than doubling the size of SAP’s enterprise business in India as VP for Integrated Large Enterprise Business. Before joining SAP, he has held various management and leadership roles in IBM and Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC).
