Global digger manufacturer JCB has launched 12 new machines as part of its innovative 'Made-in-India, Made-for-the-World' campaign. The new products include telehandlers - Loadall 530-70 and Loadall 530-110 – beside Skid Steer Loaders SSL 135 and SSL 155.  The other introductions are Loadall, a material handler to mechanise handling processes across industries - agricultural logistics, construction and process.  JCB’s Backhoe Loader range include JCB 3DXXtra, JCB 3DX Super and JCB 4DX. JCB has also launched three new variants JS 30, JS120 and
JS81 and in the wheeled loader segment variants such as 430ZX Plus and compactor VMT330 have been launched.



Spider, a division of SafeWorks, LLC, has introduced its latest traction hoist. It is reported the next generation Astro E2200 offers a 2,200 lb load capacity and is suitable for heavy construction, industrial installation and maintenance, including for elevator projects. The hoist has inbuilt mechanisms within its body which ensures operator safety and eliminates risk of omission or poor installation. Easy to operate its other features include a load dependent traction which increases the life of the wire rope, modular construction, ergonomic handles, and a standard visible hour meter. It can be customised to meet the customer’s elevator installation needs.



Chinese aerial work platform manufacturer Sivge has come up with a new mast lift. The GTWZ12-6012 has a six mast structure, a platform height of 12 m, a 400 kg load capacity, offers 360 degree continuous rotation and 25 percent gradability.  The mast’s features include four-wheel drive capability with front and rear steering and ‘one touch’ leveling. The machine can be operated by multiple workers via an LCD screen. The latest product has a total weight of 4200 kg, platform dimensions of 4080 x 1800 mm and a stowed size of 4220 x 1980 x 2830 mm.



Case New Holland which invested about $10 million in upgrading its Indian manufacturing facility has now started exporting construction equipment. Case Construction Equipments, a brand of CNH Industrial NV, a global leader in capital goods, manufactures backhoe loaders and vibratory compactors at its Pithampur facility in Madhya Pradesh which it has begun exporting to African countries since July this year. The company is eyeing markets in the Far East and Russia and expects about 25 per cent of its earnings to come from exports.  Currently the Pithampur plant has a capacity to manufacture about 6,000 units.



Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC), a fully owned subsidiary of The Hertz Corporation has announced its presence in Panama City. The company will deliver specialty equipment rental solutions for the construction, industrial, and government sectors. The launch of the company comes against the background of significant development activity in that country including projects like the Panama Canal expansion, Panama metro line development, road and highway, airport expansion, mining, water supply, housing and hospital projects  and industrial construction. It is reported the government is planning to invest up to $15-20 billion over the next 3-5 years.



Italian equipment manufacturer Socomec has introduced a new three model range of vibrating ripper attachments for mining, quarrying and demolition applications. It is reported the new attachments - RVS 2100, RVS 3300 and RVS 4500 – a product of long development and testing by the company, can cover carriers from 21 up to 60 tonnes. Company officials aver that the vibrating ripper attachments can deliver very good performance when working with medium-low hardness materials, such as gypsum and limestone, even excelling that of hydraulic breakers of a similar category. Not only are the products completely fabricated from high strength steel, thanks to their simple structure and compact design, servicing requirements are minimal.



Caterpillar has introduced the 299D XHP compact track loader with the option of a steel track undercarriage option mounted on it. With its elevated rear drive sprocket the 299D XHP is not only one of the biggest, but with a bulletproof steel track option it is strong enough to take on harsh, deeply wooded areas and trees up to eight inches in diameter. The machine is useful in the land management segment which includes dozens of applications including tree removal, clearing brush, maintaining power lines and right of ways, tree plantations, hobby farms, wildfire management, park work, environmental work and a host of landscaping and land improvement jobs.



Kubota Tractor Corporation has launched its R30-Series Wheel Loaders at the company’s 2014 Dealer Meeting in Nashville, United States. The impressive new R30-Series includes the R530 and R630, and brings more features and power in a bold new design to Kubota’s wheel loader offering. The R530, the most compact of the new R30-Series, features a 51 horsepower engine, which is larger in size than the previous model with a larger bucket and a maximum bucket breakout force of 7,761 pounds. Meanwhile the R630, Kubota’s maiden entry into the 60-80 horsepower range, raises the standard of its wheel loader performance, has a 64.4 horsepower engine, and delivers a maximum bucket breakout force of 10,415 pounds.
