Satish Pendse has been largely instrumental in transforming HCC’s internal IT function into a hugely successful separate group entity called Highbar Technologies. As President, Highbar Technologies Ltd., his vision is to make the company the most preferred information technology solutions provider for the infrastructure industry.  Under his leadership, Highbar has acquired over 80 customers in a mere span of four and half years from the start of the business. He believes in chan nelising entrepreneurial instinct and passion of employees to facilitate sustainable future growth. With a view to serve the infrastructure sector in the Middle East more effectively Highbar Technologies under him has incorporated a subsidiary in Dubai, ‘Highbar Technologies FZ-LLC’. It is a measure of his achievement that global research agency Gartner has taken note of the successful transformation of HCC’s internal IT function into Highbar Technologies with a case study called “How to manage risky spinoff from captive internal IT to ESP (Enterprise IT Service Provider).” Pendse has a total experience of over 25 years in the field of Information Technology. He has been handling the responsibility of CIO, HCC Group since the nine years and has been responsible for driving and implementing large IT initiatives including India’s 1st comprehensive SAP ERP implementation for the infrastructure industry at HCC. He has also previously headed IT functions at various leading Indian and MNC organisations across multiple industry verticals for the past 20 years. During this tenure he has been credited with large IT implementation and successfully managing change to make businesses benefit from IT investments. The engineering graduate with an MBA in Finance is also a governing body member of the CIO Club.




Dr. Harish Hande, Chairman, S3IDF, is an engineer and a renewable energy entrepreneur with extensive grassroots experience in meeting the energy requirements of rural households.  He was awarded the 2011 Ramon Magsaysay Award recognising his efforts to build a social enterprise that brings customised, affordable and sustainable electricity to India’s vast rural population. He is the co-founder of SELCO Solar Pvt. Ltd of which he is the Managing Director. SELCO India, a rural energy service provider based out of Bengaluru, has installed over 125,000 solar lighting systems in rural households since 1995. His experience includes a large number of health, education and water related projects, including over 500 small rural and urban health clinics, over 1000 rural and semi-urban schools and dormitories, and over 1500 irrigation and drinking water systems.  Dr. Hande also is on the board of many national and international organisations. He has received many other awards and honors, such as Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy (2005 and 2007), Social Entrepreneur of the Year (Schwab and Khemkha Foundations 2007).




Abhijit Gupta brings with him over 25 years of experience in supplier relations, new product component development, product cost management, supplier quality and supply chain management in various sectors including the earthmoving, construction, agriculture, passenger car and material handling industries in India and abroad. He joined Case India as Managing Director in April 2013. He has been working with CNH Industrial Group since 2004 where he shared expertise with New Holland Fiat India. Gupta was Director - Purchasing at New Holland FIAT India where he handled a host of Indian and overseas suppliers resulting in significant cost savings for the organisation. In addition to this he has facilitated more than 3000 new product development and in global sourcing for 40 plants located in the United States, Europe and the APAC region.   An MBA in Faculty of Management Studies from Delhi University he also holds a Bachelor Technology degree in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT BHU, Varanasi and has pursued research at Oak Ridge National Lab, Knoxville along with an MS degree from University of Tennessee. 




A power industry veteran with over 26 years of experience, Dr. R. Nagaraja is Founder and Managing Director, Power Research & Development Consultants Pvt. Ltd. He did his BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Mysore University in the year 1986 and later years obtained an M.E. and a doctorate from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) Bangalore for his work titled “Development of algorithm for applications in energy control centers”. During 1988 to 1991 he worked with M/s. MACMET India Ltd., Simulation Division, heading the company’s Power System group. In 1994 Dr Nagaraja set up Power Research & Development Consultants Pvt. Ltd in Bangalore, marking his debut in the field of Power Systems and eventually emerging as an international power system consultant of repute. Today PRDC is one among the largest power system consultants in Asia.
Dr Nagaraja’s area of specialisation includes Parallel Computing, Power System Analysis, Simulation, SCADA systems and Energy Management Systems, Development of algorithms for real-time power system simulation and control, Power Engineering Education and Power System Protection. He has authored several technical papers and conducted a number of workshops, conferences and seminars throughout the world.  Dr. Nagaraja is the brain behind the architecture, design and development of the MiPower™ – Power system analysis software – PRDC’s flagship product widely used by electric utilities, industries, consultants and academic institutions. He was the convener and Co-Chair of ISGT Asia 2013 conference held in Bangalore, and is currently chairman of IEEE PES India Council Chapter.
