Bansi Phansalkar, Director–Global Engineering, ITDD & Country Manager, Caterpillar India, joined Caterpillar in February 2015 with responsibilities for Mechanical & Electronics engineering, Virtual Product development and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems across Caterpillar Inc. Prior to joining Caterpillar, Bansi had a 15-year stint with General Electric (GE) in various global technology roles in Motors, Aircraft engines, Gas Turbines, Wind Turbines and Research in electronics & controls. In his most recent role at GE, he was one among the 7 Chief Engineers for GE-worldwide.With over 30+ years of career in Engineering & Technology development, Bansi is a Rescue Diver and a self-certified ‘excellent cook’. 









Sunil Kumar Chaturvedi currently the Chairman & Managing Director, Gainwell Commosales Pvt. Ltd., (formerly, Tractors India Private Limited) had completed the Management buy-out of the Company in June 2016 after coming at its helm as Managing Director in 2014. Gainwell represents Caterpillar in North and East of India, Nepal and Bhutan since 1944 and now works with a host of other global OEMs to offer turnkey infrastructure and mining solutions in India and the region. 


He started his career in 1985 as an Associate Chartered followed by a 20 years’ tenure as an IAS officer in the state of West Bengal and in different ministries of the Government of India. Prior to Gainwell, he was on the board of Bharat Forge Limited as its Executive Director for 5 years. He is associated with Industry bodies like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce of India (FICCI) and professional bodies like Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). He currently chairs the Capital Goods Skills Development Council of India and is the Co-Chairman of FICCI Capital Goods Committee.








Chandrashekar V, Managing Director & CEO, Gmmco is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering, and was awarded a gold medal by Bangalore University for his outstanding academic achievements. Chris Farrar, Managing Director, Caterpillar Financial Services India Private Limited, based in Bangalore, India joined Cat Financial in 1998, as a Territory Manager in the UK. Throughout his 20 years with Caterpillar, Chris has served in a variety of roles with increased responsibilities. In 2001, he relocated to Geneva, Switzerland as a Merchandising Consultant and in 2005, he transitioned to Caterpillar Redistribution Services in Dubai, where he was responsible for developing the dealer used equipment strategy for the Africa Middle East region. In 2007, Chris returned to Cat Financial as Sales Manager in Dubai, where he was responsible for managing sales activities in the Turkey, Africa Middle East region and in 2010, he returned to the UK as Sales Manager for Northern Europe. Chris relocated to Thailand in 2012and served as Country Manager for Caterpillar Leasing (Thailand) Ltd. Prior to his current role, in 2015, he then moved to Japan where he served as Managing Director of Caterpillar Finance Kabushiki Kaisha.
