Volvo Trucks introduces ‘Uptime Centers’

The Volvo Uptime Center is a ‘Digital home for a more profitable transport operation’

Volvo has put a little more behind delivering ‘Superior Uptime’ for it’s customers - a one-of-its-kind concept.

Nobody knows exactly what the road ahead will bring, but Volvo Uptime Services helps you see it in the rear view mirror. Whether you’re hauling off-road or on-road, moving cargo or people, having a true transport solutions partner with you can make all the difference.

Everything done at Volvo Trucks is aimed at customer satisfaction and in keeping with this spirit, the company has embarked on a mission to set up uptime centers at 12 locations across the country. The Bengaluru center will remain the command center for all regions. These centers will become a key in Volvo’s promise to customers to deliver best in class performance and service.

The Center will be an important part of Volvo India’s Uptime journey with plans to introduce more services in the future. ‘Whether it is maximizing the productivity of the fleet, or getting the most out of every drop of fuel - we are committed to making the Volvo fleet ownership as successful as it can be. The new Uptime Center not only showcases the company’s  innovative capabilities but also underscores how serious we are about making our customers’ operations more profitable than ever before, ’ says V Venkateswarlu, Vice President  – Aftermarket, Volvo Trucks India, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd.

The Centers, will provide everything that matters to a customer, in one place. The services include Volvo Service Planning, Remote Diagnostics, Predictive Maintenance and Dynafleet, as well as a suite of applications for monitoring Volvo Action Service and the Fleet Uptime at site support locations.

Dynafleet: it’s all about productivity and fuel efficiency

The truck driving pattern is continuously monitored by the Dynafleet system, which helps in improving the driver competency and the truck operating conditions. This results in improved truck utilization, minimal idling hours and better fuel efficiency. In short, it helps improving the operational efficiency of the fleet. It also helps track on-road trucks for effective VAS support. Monthly reports are generated and delivered online to Dynafleet activated customers.

Remote diagnostics and predictive maintenance

Remote Diagnostics helps avoiding unexpected downtime by pro-actively addressing the fault codes. Predictive maintenance monitors the life of truck components that enables proactive planning and timely repairs. It’s a revolutionary new way to maximise uptime and expedite repairs.
