Gaaneshkartikey Construction Bags Road Project Worth rS. 18.82 crore in Punjab Gaaneshkartikey Construction Private Limited has participated in a tender issued by Department of Agriculture, Government of Punjab for the project “Special repair of Link Road Gaggomahal Chaharpur Road to Suffian.

PNC Infra Wins Two EPC Packages of Purvanchal Expressway
Delhi-based PNC Infratech Ltd on Monday said that it has bagged two EPC Packages of Lucknow – Ghazipur Six Lane Access Controlled Purvanchal Expressway Project in the state of Uttar Pradesh for an aggregate quoted value of  rS 2,520 crore.The price bids were opened on Monday, July 9, 2018, with PNC’s bids being the lowest (L1) in two packages. Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) is the proponent for the 341.0 km long Green Field Expressway comprising eight individual packages. Construction of each package is to be completed in 36 months on EPC mode,” the company said in a BSE filing.

Jaiprakash Associates gets Chenab Valley Power Projects contract in Jammu and Kashmir

Jaiprakash Associates Ltd has bagged a rS 2,850-crore contract from Chenab Valley Power Projects to construct diversion tunnel and concrete face dam for a hydro-electric project in Jammu and Kashmir, taking its order book to about `14,000 crore. The scope of work in the contracts includes construction of diversion tunnel, concrete face rockfill dam, surface and tunnel spillway, intake structure, head race tunnel and other allied structures of Pakal Dul hydroelectric project. After bagging this contract, JAL's order book from EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) business has gone up to rS 14,000 crore from rS 5,500 crore a year-ago. Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt Ltd is a joint venture company of NHPC Ltd, JKSPDC Ltd and PTC (India) Ltd.

Tata wins Bharat Net project in Chhattisgarh

Tata Projects Limited's "Smart Cities Business Unit" has been awarded the rS 3,057 crore Bharat Net project in Chhattisgarh. The project involves laying of optical fibre network that follows ring architecture with Internet Protocol – Multi Protocol Label Switching (IP-MPLS) technology. The implementation period for the project is 12 months from starting of work. Conceived under the Digital India initiative the project will link 85 blocks and 5,987 gram panchayats across the 27 districts in the state by providing broadband and mobile phone connectivity. Tata Projects will lay 48 core Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) Network across the state covering 32,466 km.

L&T bags contract to build India's tallest office building in Amaravati 

Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged a prestigious project for the engineering, procurement and construction of Head of Department (HoD) office buildings at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. According to the statement filed by the company, this is the first Steel Diagrid project in India, the first project in combination with Automatic Climbing Formwork System (ACFS) Et Diagrid and will be the tallest government office building in India. The order was awarded by the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) and the project is a fast track job to be completed within stringent timelines. The orders valued at rS 3,000 crores were received by building and factories division of L&T.

L&T bags projects across business

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) recently declared that it has won orders worth rS1,391 crore across business segments. The order has been bagged by its wholly owned subsidiary L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited (LTHE), Larsen & Toubro said in a statement. While the company's smart world and communication business received an order worth `209 crore, its water and effluent treatment business has bagged orders worth `432 crore.

L&T bags orders for multi village rural water supply schemes
The water & effluent treatment business of  Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won orders valued `23.88 billion. The orders have been secured from the Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam Maryadit for the execution of Satna, Kundatiya and Mohanpura multi village rural water supply schemes on turnkey basis. It is learnt that the projects are funded by the New Development Bank, L&T. Another EPC order has been received from the Tirunelveli Municipal Corporation for providing Underground Sewerage Scheme (UGSS) to additional areas of Tirunelveli Corporation - Phase II. The scope of work includes laying 225 km of sewer pipelines, construction of RCC manholes, pumping stations, lifting stations and providing sewer connections to 55,000 households.

BL Kashyap & Sons bags redevelopment projectsL Kashyap & Sons has won orders worth `694 crore from domestic unrelated clients.The orders include, development /re-development of Gomti Nagar Lucknow Railway Station on EPC basis worth rS360 crore and order of RS182 crore to do composite civil structure for building (SEZ) at Madhapur, Hyderabad.The orders include, block civil work (SEZ) at Hinjewadi Pune worth RS 35.50 crore and construction of tower 2 package-1 at Hyderabad worth RS 34.51 crore. These projects are expected to be completed within 24 months from the date of award.

Nila Infra bags order from Adani Group

Nila Infrastructure has received a work order of RS 53.84 crore from Adani Group's Shantigram Estate Management. The order includes construction of about 4 lakh sq.ft. of built up area with one tower having double basement, ground floor, 12 floors and two towers with double basement plus ground floor and 8 floors at 'Inspire Business Park', phase II at Shantigram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

PNC Infra surges after Karnataka order worth RS 1,157 CR

According to a BSE filing, constructions engineering company PNC Infratech rose over 3 per cent after bagging an order worth RS 1,157cr for a highway project in Karnataka.The company announced the signing of a concession agreement on 16 July 2018 between National Highways Authority of India and Special Purpose Vehicle incorporated for the following Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) NH project, secured recently by the company.Further, the project relates to four laning of Challakere to Hariyur section of NH 150 A and will be constructed in 24 months upon declaration of the appointed date and operated for 15 years, post construction. Until now, the company has secured total seven NH projects on Hybrid Annuity Mode for an aggregate bid project cost of RS 9,548cr. Of these, four are under construction and three are under development. These projects are based in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi etc.

GE Power India Bags equipment orders from BHEL

It has been reported that GE Power India has bagged twin boiler equipment orders from BHEL for supercritical thermal power projects worth approximately `467.9 crore. The company, in its BSE filing stated, that it has been awarded twin boiler equipment orders by Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. for supercritical thermal power projects in Patratu and Udangudi worth approximately `467.9 crore exclusive of taxes. As part of the order, GE Power will supply pressure parts equipment for the Patratu project at an order value of $52 million and to Udangudi thermal power projects at a value of $20.4 million, for onshore supply. The equipment, including pressure parts, for both these projects will be sourced from GE's manufacturing facility in Durgapur, West Bengal. BHEL is executing engineering, procurement and construction contract for the phase-I expansion of Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd's 2400 MW supercritical thermal power station at Patratu and for the first stage of a proposed 1,320 MW supercritical thermal power plant at Udangudi by Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd.

Essel Infra Bags First Railway Project Under Annuity

Essel Infraprojects Ltd (EIL), an enterprise of Subhash Chandra led Essel Group, has bagged India’s first railway project under Annuity mode for RS1,706 crore on the Eastern Freight Corridor connecting Howrah and Chennai main line.The project will undertake complete major and minor bridges/ Rail-over Bridge (ROB) Rail-under Bridge (RUB), Foot-over Bridge (FOB), platform shelters, water supply & waste disposal system, drainage/ bank protection. The company has stated that the entire design, drawing, measurements, supervision and quality checks would be undertaken effectively.

Kridhan Infra JV wins order worth RS 222.6 cr

Construction company, Kridhan Infra surged over 8.5 per cent after its associate Vijay Nirman Company won an order worth RS 222.6 cr for rehabilitation and upgradation of the NH 167 in a joint venture, wherein it holds a 51 per cent stake.The company owns approximately 41 per cent stake in VNC and hence, VNC operates as an associate company of Kridhan. Vijay Nirman is a private construction company, having completed over 400 projects, in over 30 years of operations. It has a vast experience in the roads, bridges, airports and affordable housing segments and is well reputed for its timely execution.

JMC Projects Bags Turnkey projects in Madhya Pradesh

JMC Projects (India) Ltd (JMC), a leading civil engineering and EPC company, has recently declared that a JMC- led consortium has secured two turnkey projects under Micro Lift Irrigation Scheme worth RS 2,650 crore from Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA) in Madhya Pradesh. The share of JMC in these projects is around `1,600 crore. Further, the remaining project worth approx. `366 crore is for Construction of Township for National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC). It is learnt that in addition, the water projects being low capex oriented will help JMC further augment its return ratios.

Railways to issue largest order for 22,000 wagons

Indian Railways is set to put out its largest tender for 22,000 wagons at a cost of at least RS 7,000 crore in the current financial year that could see big orders for Texmaco Rail and Engineering, Titagarh Wagons, Jindal Rail and Jupiter Wagons, among other wagon makers. The orders would be through the reverse e-auction model, and if the lowest bidder isn’t able to serve the entire order, the second-lowest bidder would get a chance without a fresh tendering process. The railways ministry hopes the bulk tender would help it reduce the cost of wagons by at least 15-20 per cent. On an average, the ministry procures 8,000 wagons a year.

BHEL bags RS 1,000 cr orders from Telangana

State-run power equipment maker BHEL has bagged two orders worth RS1,000 crore from Telangana. The orders from Telangana Power Generation Corporation (TSGENCO) are for supply and installation of emission control equipment at Kothagudem and Bhadradri thermal power stations. The installation of Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) systems will control the emission of sulphur oxides at the two power plants, as per the claims by the company. BHEL is executing these projects on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis.

Capacit'e Infraprojects, Tata projects bags `11,744 cr order from MHADA

Construction firm Capacit'e Infraprojects in a consortium with Tata Projects and CITIC Construction has bagged an order worth rS 11,744.26 crore from the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority. The project includes technical designing, co-ordination and construction of rehabilitation, sale, commercial, any other structure along with construction of habitable temporary transit camps for redevelopment of project of BDD Chawls located at Lower Parel Division at Worli in Mumbai. According to the company, the project will be executed through a special purpose vehicle in which Capacit'e Infraprojects Ltd will have 37.1 per cent share worth rS 4,357.12 crore
