Commenting about the current market scenario, Manoj Kumar Pillay, MD, Forestpress Machineries Pvt Ltd says, “The market scenario does seem to be positive and there are corrections that are taking place. The basics for something more bigger and positive to come are becoming ready. We will have to wait for a couple of months for the entire process to be in order. However the continuous elections are posing as hurdles. However in our case, the export market has done fairly well. Last year we have done over 60 per cent export order, mainly in the Middle East. So, I think that this trend will continue for a while. By 2020 I think that the domestic market will go up.” Karl Schulz, International Sales Manager, Spancrete, while speaking about his experience on participating in the Concrete Show said, “We are very excited with the kind of positive attitude in India in terms of the pace of the projects and the demand to have the best of equipment at their disposal. We have been extremely successful with our equipment around the world for the past 6 decades. India though is a new market for us, we are having a very strong representation now in Mumbai and we are excited with the amount of growth that we are seeing here.

Speaking more about the product launches, Schulz added, “We have an existing facility in India and we have made some contacts with constructors and are quoting equipment packages.  Our latest product is the 5th of the five Hollowcore system. It is an Extruder and can produce a variety of Hollowcore slab cross sections and thicknesses. It can be run automatically, and offers a platform for easy passage over the slab and access to the hopper. The Extruder can make slabs between 5 inches (120 mm) up to 20 inches (50 cm) of thickness.”
