Presently, JCB India offers the widest range of Backhoe Loaders in India with 5 different variants – 2DX, 3DX, 3DX Xtra, 3DX Super, 4DX. This range is developed to suit different user segments for different applications i.e. we have one for everyone.

Our JCB 2DX Backhoe Loader, the smallest Backhoe in our portfolio and specifically designed to suit the rural / semi urban applications, is gaining popularity in some unique applications like plantation, Brick Kilns construction of rural roads, fibre optics laying, truck unloading, tractor trolley loading.

The 3DX is India’s most popular Backhoe. We introduced the iconic JCB Backhoe Loader – the 3DX Xtra with 30 new innovative features, including 15 industry firsts, and five World’s first including an AMT which is an Automated Manual Transmission called Easy Shift. Apart from this, this world class machine comes with as an SOS switch, Economy and Power Mode, Guide me home, and Smart App machine Diagnostics.

The large 4DX is the most productive Backhoe Loader in India and is best suited for mass excavation or digging in hard strata.

JCB Backhoe Loaders are fuel efficient machines in their category as they come fitted with the indigenous, world-class, most fuel efficient JCB “ecoMAX” engine.

In December 2017, JCB India exhibited a range of intelligent and innovative machines with many ‘industry first’ features at Excon 2017, the biggest exhibition in South Asia for the Construction Equipment industry.

JCB has also taken cognizance of evolving customer needs and has come up with solutions pertaining to reduced Cost of Operation, Enhance Reliability, Performance, Ease of Use, Safety, Serviceability and Design in its new ecoXcellence range of Backhoe Loaders.

Cost of Operation

  • 10 per cent more fuel efficiency in duty cycle alongwith additional savings of 5 per cent in yearly maintenance cost
  • Reduce wastage of fuel while idling of machine
  • Options of choosing Economy, Standard, and Plus mode – this helps in saving fuel as per the work requirement

  • Boom & dipper joint has floating pin design like Big Excavators which enhances its life
  • Wider Dipper to make structures more reliable
  • Anti-rust coating on stabiliser pad lock nuts to enhance life of internal threads

Ease of use

  • A bigger pedal and nearly zero effort foot and hand throttle with no wire control
  • Hydraulic Filter clogging indicators to enhance life and save undue repair cost of hydraulic components
  • Know exact operation of the machine during the day with trip hour meter switch on a digital display
  • Additionally, Digital Speedometer that shows operating speed and gear

  • ‘Guide me home’ feature: After parking machine’s external light will switch on after ignition off and switch off automatically after 30 Seconds. In this duration operator can identify his way, belongings, etc. while leaving the machine / site after the parking

Detail us about the cutting edge technology used in your machines. What are the USP’s of your productsVis-à-viscompetition?

According to me, the USP can be in various parts. The product itself can be a complete single USP. In our products we carry out a lot of research and innovation and that all helps us to stay ahead in the race.

If you look at any JCB product, every machine is technologically advanced and feature rich. The other biggest thing is the entire product support network that we provide to our customers. We have over 60 dealers and 650 outlets which are spread across India to offer best in class support to our customers. Taking a step further in providing unmatched product support to our customers, JCB has also introduced an Advanced Telematics technology known as Livelink.

Introduced in 2015, Livelink allows effective fleet management – it helps our customers remotely monitor and manage their machines. Users, Dealers and JCB get SMS alerts on their phones regarding the Service, Operations and Security of their machine. This data is stored over a period of time and gives vital information to the customer in terms of number of hours the machine has been operational, service intervals, fuel levels, malfunctions if any, etc. This technology aims to deliver constructive, real-time information to increase productivity and efficiency.

To monitor these machines in real time, we have set up a world class command centre at our Delhi-NCR facility. Our dealerships have also set up similar Livelink command centres to ensure that real time support is provided to the customers as they can now plan for service schedules and also engage with users and customers in preventive maintenance.

Moreover, with the advent of digital technologies, users can now control their entire fleet in real time and all the critical machine information is available on their smart devices in the form of digital applications such as JCB Livelink app, JCB Smart Serve App and Smart Machine Diagnostics app. All these innovations are aimed at giving our customers a world class ownership experience with our machines and as we go ahead, we will continue to utilise these smart and revolutionary technologies to offer unmatched benefits to customers and end users

Industry analysts anticipate that the Backhoe loader market is expected to touch around 85,000 units by 2020. How do you assess the backhoe loader market in India, what are the cost/quality equations, sector challenges, and growth prospects?

Backhoe Loader is one of the most widely used construction equipment India.Given its versatility and mobility, the machine finds great use at almost every construction site, in both urban and rural India.
