L&T Construction Awarded (Significant) contracts for its Water & Effluent Treatment Business

The Water & Effluent Treatment Business of L&T Construction has secured various contracts.

The Gujarat Water Infrastructure Limited (GWIL) has placed engineering, procurement and construction orders for the design and construction of the Dhanki - Navda Bulk Pipeline project that aims to enhance water supply capacity to meet the future demands of Amreli, Junagadh, Botad and Rajkot districts of Gujarat. The scope includes design & construction of 99 Kms bulk transmission MS pipeline, 10.5 ML RCC raw water sump & pumphouse and associated electro-mechanical & instrumentation works.

The Business is also executing another bulk pipeline project at the same location for GWIL.

Further, the international arm of the Business has been awarded a project from a prestigious client for the Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of water distribution network and large meter connections in Dubai. The scope includes water distribution networks of 137 Km GRE Pipelines, micro tunnelling works, SCADA and associated Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Works.

This project adds another customer to our clientele signifying the expansion of the WET business in the Middle East.

PNC Infratech bags new Hybrid Annuity Project Worth Rs.864 Crore

PNC Infratech Limited has been declared the L1 (lowest) bidder for an NHAI Project of ‘Improvement and up-gradation of 54.429 km long to 4–lane with Paved Shoulders, from km 174.641 to 229.070 of NH-731 in Hardoi District of Uttar Pradesh on Hybrid Annuity Mode, for a Bid Project Cost of Rs.864 crore. The price bids were opened on March 09, 2022, with PNC’s bid being the lowest (L1).

The Project is to be constructed within a period of 30 months and shall remain operative for 15 years post-construction.

DBS Realty securing project form Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai

DBS Realty, a partnership firm in which D B Realty Ltd is a 1/3rd partner has received a Letter of Acceptance (“LOA”) from Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (“MCGM”) for construction, completion and handing over of 4000 tenements of carpet area size 27.88 mts along with transfer of land and completed tenements to MCGM to be constructed on land bearing CTS No. 11A/5A of village Chandivali In Zone-V.

The Firm shall receive Land TDR and Construction TDR of 1.56 million sq feet and premium per tenement @Rs.39.60 lacs aggregating to Rs.1,584 crore which shall be paid by the MCGM in the form of Credit Note subject to certain terms & conditions as prescribed in LOA

Further, this is a unique project which is expected to benefit from tax exemptions under the Income Tax Act, 1961. In addition to the above, the Company has also bid for construction of another 10,500 (approx) tenements at Malad for the MCGM and the company expects the MCGM to take a decision in respect of its bid soon.

PNC Infratech bags new Hybrid Annuity Project of Value Rs.738 Crore

PNC Infratech Limited has been declared the L1 (lowest) bidder for a NHAI Project of Four Laning of NH 530B from Gaju Village km 32.982, (Mathura - Aligarh District Boundary) to Devinagar Bypass (End) Km. 66.000 of SH 33 (NH530B) in the State of Uttar Pradesh on Hybrid Annuity Mode, for a Bid Project Cost of Rs.738 crore.

The Project is to be constructed in 24 months and operated for 15 years post construction.

PSP Poject Ltd., a leading construction engineering company, has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1 Bidder) for project “Construction of Sports Complex” at Ahmedabad, Gujarat with a bid value of Rs.563.99 crore (inclusive of GST).

IRCON International bags order worth Rs.1780 cr from Ministry of External Affairs

Ircon International Ltd. has been appointed as ‘Project Implementation Agency’ for “Construction of Road from Paletwa (Myanmar) to Zorinpuri (Mizoram) under Kaladan Multi Modal Transit Transport Project (KMMTTP)” in Myanmar, on EPC mode at Lump Sum cost of Rs.1,780 Crore by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

The project shall continue for a period of forty (40) months from the Effective Date i.e. date of execution of the necessary Agreement which will be executed within the next 14 days.

Power Mech Projects wins order worth Rs.2120 crore under Jal Jeevan Mission

Power Mech Projects Limited wins orders worth Rs.2,120 crore under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) program.

The company has won the new orders under Phase-III projects in 2120 villages of Pratapgarh, Fatehpur and Meerut districts in Uttar Pradesh. Major components of the project are about 2100 tube wells, 2100 water tanks, and 13,000 km of pipeline network for supply of drinking water to about 50 lakh population.

The latest order win comes a year after the company was awarded JJM projects in 898 villages of Bulandshahar, Meerut and Etah districts of Uttar Pradesh by State Water Sanitary Mission, for an initial value of Rs.898 crore under Phase-II of JJM. The major components of the project are about 800 tube wells, 800 water tanks, and 6,000 km of pipeline network for supply of drinking water to about 20 lakh population.

This project continues to be executed at a brisk pace and is scheduled to complete within FY 2022-23. The order amount, won under a joint venture with BRCCPL, has increased to Rs.1800 crore following a detailed survey. Similarly, post the project survey and OPR preparation works are initiated under Phase-III, the value of new orders may too undergo an appreciation (in a similar fashion as Phase -II).

L&T Construction Awarded (Significant) contracts for its Various Business


The Construction arm of Larsen & Toubro has secured various orders for its businesses.

Transportation Infrastructure:

The Railways SBU of L&T Construction’s Transportation Infrastructure IC has secured an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) order from IRCON International LTD involving 25 kV Overhead Electrification, Signaling & Telecommunication, and associated works for 549 RKM/678 TKM railway lines pertaining to the Northeast Frontier Railway. The project is part of the Central Government’s ‘Mission Electrification’ initiative aimed to electrify the entire Indian Railway network to reduce carbon footprint as well as expenditure on diesel.

The business is already executing four major EPC contracts from Central Organization for Railway Electrification (CORE) viz., EPC-01 (Delhi – Jaipur line), EPC-07 (Various sections of the Southern Railway),

EPC-06 (Various sections of the North-Western Railway) and EPC-15A (Various sections of the Northeast Frontier Railway).

IRCON International LTD. is one of the implementing agencies responsible for carrying out the Railway Electrification works over the selected networks of Indian Railways.

Buildings & Factories:

The Factories Business of Buildings and Factories IC has secured a prestigious order from a global FMCG manufacturer for Design & Construction of a food processing facility in Gujarat, India. The scope involves Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP Utility works including External Development Works. The business has also secured an order from a prestigious client to expand a super specialty hospital in Kolkata by 250 beds on Design & Build basis. The built-up area of the project will be 2.61 Lakh Sq Ft. with a configuration of basement + ground + 10 floors structure including LINAC & PET CT facility. The project is located at a prime location. The logistics are challenging while the execution will have both offsite and onsite construction activities.

The scope of work involves Civil Structure using structural composite deck slab system with CFT columns, finishes & allied MEP services including medical gas piping, nurse call system, pneumatic tube system with external development and landscaping within site premises.

Ashoka Buildcon receives LoA Rs.693 crore project from Northeast frontier Railway

Ashoka Buildcon Limited received Letter of Acceptance from N F RLY Construction. The LOA is for the Project viz. ‘Electrification of Railway Lines of the sections Rangiya (Excl.)- Murkongselek including branch lines of Rangapara North (Excl.)- Dekargaon, Balipara (Excl.)- Bhalukpong, Harmuty (Excl.)- Naharlagun, Sripani - Dhamalgaon (Excl) , Furkating Jn. (Excl.) to Mariani in.(Excl.) and Tinsukia to Dangri Section including branch line of Makum in to Tirap, Northeast Frontier Railway RKM / TKM - 733.35 /947.59 on EPC mode’; in the State of Assam.

Further, the accepted offer of the Project is Rs.692.50 crore and the contract period is 900 days.

MEP Infrastructure Developers arm receives LOA of Rs.65.07 Crore project from NHAI

MEP Infrastructure Developers arm receives LOA of Rs.65.07 Crore project from NHAI. EP Infrastructure Developers Ltd’s subsidiary viz. Bhalaji Toll Road Private Limited (BTRPL) has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from National Highways Authority of India (“NHAI”) informing that BTRPL has been engaged as the user fee collection agency on the basis of competitive bidding through e-tender for Sergarh Fee Plaza, at km 97.960 (Old km 182.175) for the section from km 143.635 to km 80.994 (Bhadrak to Balasore Section) of NH-5, in the State of Odisha.Key highlights of the Project are as under:

User Fee Collection rights at Sergarh Fee Plaza.Terms of the Contract Agreement:

Period of Contract is 1 year.

The operations will commence after 12 days from the date of issuance of LOA.

The contractual amount for the said Project is Rs.65.07 crore payable to NHAI on weekly remittance.

L&T Construction Awarded (Significant) contract for its Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business

The Heavy Civil Infrastructure business vertical of L&T Construction has won a significant order from the prestigious Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC), to design and construct the Underground Metro Project of Phase-IV of Delhi MRTS. The major scope of work for the project comprises Design and Construction of 5 Km of Twin Tunnel (Up & Down Line) by Shield Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), Cut and Cover Tunnel box, Underground Ramp and four Underground stations namely Chhattarpur, Chhattarpur Mandir, IGNOU and Neb Sarai with associated works of Aerocity to Tughlakabad Corridor of Phase-IV of Delhi MRTS. A major part of works is in South Delhi and must be completed within the duration of 42 months.

The project is funded by JICA and L&T takes pride to be reassociated with DMRC for this prestigious project.
