Patel Engineering-HES Infra Consortium Wins Major Order For Luhri HEP Rs.976.50 cr. order

A consortium of Patel Engineering and HES Infra has bagged a major civil and hydro-mechanical works package for the Luhri hydropower project in Himachal Pradesh. The order relates to the Luhri Project (Stage-1 of 210 mw) coming up on River Satlju in the Shimla and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh. This project is being implemented by Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVNL) on Build-Own-Operate-Maintain (BOOM) basis, with a total investment of around Rs.1,810 crore.

The EPC contract awarded to LHPC entails design & engineering services, civil and hydro-mechanical works, covering the following main elements:

  • Design, planning, investigation etc., of the project
  • Horse-shoe diversion tunnel of dia 10m, 567m
  • Concrete gravity dam (80m high and 224.5m length).
  • Power intake and 4 nos. of Penstock (2 c 8m dia & 2 x 5m dia)
  • Surface power house (122m x 50 50m x 65 5m)
  • Open tail race channel 119m)
  • Permanent access road including a double lane steel truss bridge
  • Gates penstock steel liner

The Luhri Stage-I Hydro Electric Project shall be commissioned within a span of 62 months. The power generated from the Project will help in providing grid stability and will improve the power supply position. Besides adding valuable renewable energy to the Grid, the project would also lead to reduction of 6.1 lakh tones of carbon dioxide from environment annually, thus contributing to improvement in air quality. The construction activities of the project will result in direct & indirect employment to around 2000 persons and will contribute to overall socioeconomic development of the State. Further, Himachal Pradesh will benefit with free power worth around Rs.1,140 crore from Luhri Stage-I Hydro Electric Project, during the project lifecycle of of 40 years. The project affected families will be provided with 100 kwh of free electricity per month for ten years.

H G Infra Engineering, one of the leading EPC players in India in the roads and highways segment HG Infra Engineering has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for development of 6-lane urban extension road (UER) 2 - NH 344 M, Package 1 (from NH 1 to Karala - Kanjhawala Road, in Delhi on EPC mode. The company bid project cost is Rs.13,931.1 million. The completion period of the project is 2 years.

G R Infraprojects Limited has received Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for “Construction of Elevated Structures (Viaduct & stations) of length 7.50Km (approx.) from Gottigere to Swagath Road Cross (Chainage 00.00m to 7501.818m) including Kothnur Depot entry line, Road widening & allied works and 5 Numbers of Metro Stations viz, Gottigere, Hulimavu, IIMB, JP Nagar 4th Phase, Swagath Road Cross in Reach-6 line of Bangalore Metro Rail Project, Phase - 2 (Balance Works).

The completion period is 21 months from signing of contract agreement.

Ion Exchange India Limited bags order from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd contract value of Rs.357.465 cr.

Ion Exchange (India) Limited has been awarded by Indian Oil Corporation Limited a Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) contract for design, installation of effluent treatment plant on turnkey basis at contract value of Rs.357.465 crores for its Para Xylene (PX) and Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) complex project at Paradip, Orissa.

PTA is a major raw material used to manufacture polyester fibers, PET bottles and polyester film used in packaging applications. The project is to be constructed and commissioned within 26 months from the date of Letter of Acceptance.

Thermax bags Rs.293 cr order for oil & gas fired boilers

Thermax Babcock and Wilcox Energy Solutions (TBWES), wholly-owned subsidiary of Thermax Group bagged an order worth Rs.293 crore for a boiler package on EPC basis for a refinery and petroleum complex in western India. The scope of supply includes design, manufacture, installation, erection, commissioning and testing of the 3 x Oil & Gas fired boilers, the company said in a release.

Ashoka Buildcon Limited has received Notification of Award (NOA) from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMS) in respect of the Project, Viz. ‘sub-station package - SS71 Associated with the Development of Transmission system for 1500 MW Solar parks in Madhya Pradesh (Project). The accepted Contract Price of the Project is Rs.186.11 Crore.

Goodluck India Ltd awarded LoI by L&T for Bullet Train Project the value of the order stands at Rs.198.76 crore

Goodluck India Ltd. among leading steel processor and manufacturing of engineering products, has been awarded Letter of Intent {LoI} by L&T Ltd. for Bullet Train project in India. The LoI by L&T is for the prestigious calendar project of supply and fabrication of special bridges on the National High Speed Rail Track between Mumbai and Vapi {Bullet Train Project}. The value of the order stands at Rs.198.76 crore. The execution period of the order envisages the completion of the project stands to be completed by 2023. It will be executed under the expert supervision of IHI-Japanese experts in the area of design and supply of steel bridges.

J Kumar Infraprojects Ltd has received an Letter of Acceptance from Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. The company received LoA for Mithi Package IV: Diversion or Dry Weather Flow from Bapat Nalla and Safed Pul Nalla to Dharavi WwTF through Tunnel worth Rs.455,34,88,635.28 (Rupees Four Hundred Fifty Five Crores Thirty Four Lakhs Eighty Eight Thousands Six Hundred Thirty Five and Twenty Eight Paise Only) in the name of J Kumar Infraprojects- Michigan Engineers Pvt. Ltd. (JV).

The consortium of NCL Industries Ltd. and NCL Buildtek Limited has received Letters of Acceptance (LoA) of bids aggregating to Rs.1863.19 crores for supply of Prepainted (GI) Steel Window Frame with Glazed Shutters and GI Powder Coated Door Frames to Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation Ltd (APSHC) for implementation of ‘Navaratnalu-Pedalandariki Illu Scheme’ of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

A formal contractual agreement is to be executed upon fulfilment of conditions in terms of the LoA.

NCL Industries Ltd has a 50% share in the Consortium, in which NCL Buildtek Ltd is the Consortium Leader.

The Buildings & Factories business has secured an order to construct Multilevel Parking & Advocates Chamber for The Hon’ble High Court at Allahabad with an approximate built-up area of 20 Lakhs Sq. ft. This project consists of 2,294 Advocate chambers, 2,323 car parking spaces in a multilevel car parking, 1,552 two-wheeler parking spaceswith associated utility buildings. The scope of work involves Design, Engineering, Procurement, & Construction of Civil and related MEP works. The project is scheduled to be completed in 27 months.

Power Transmission & Distribution:

The Power Transmission & Distribution business has bagged an order for the turnkey construction of a substation in Saudi Arabia. The scope of the Gas Insulated Substation project involving four different voltage levels up to 380kV comprises the associated control, protection, automation, telecommunication systems and civil & electromechanical works.


Smart World & Communication:

The Smart World & Communication business has bagged yet another Smart City project. The project has been awarded by the Moradabad Smart City Limited to Design, Develop, Implement, and Manage the Operations & Maintenance of a Command-&-Control Centre (CCC), CCTV Surveillance, Smart Traffic Solutions, and to integrate various ICT components with an Integrated Command & Control Center Platform (ICCC) for Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. The vision of this project is to establish an Integrated Command and Control Center Smart City Platform/applications to monitor and operate Smart City services terminating onto these applications. The scope of work includes Intelligent Traffic Control System with traffic enforcement, Adaptive Traffic Control System (ATCS), City Surveillance System with video analytics, Citizen Web Portal, a mobile app and helpdesk, Smart Parking Management Solution etc.
