Dilip Buildcon becomes L-1 bidder for HAM project worth Rs.1,137 cr in Karnataka

Dilip Buildcon has been declared as Lowest bidder (L-1) for the tender floated by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Hybrid Annuity basis in the state of Karnataka worth Rs.1137cr.

The Company is L-1 bidder for construction of four Lanlng of Sannur to Bikarnakette Section from Existing Km 698.850 to existing km 744.190 of NH- 169 under Bharathmala Pariyoiana on Hybrid Annuity Mode in the State of Karnataka. The project is expected to complete in 24 months.

  • Water Project in Maldives of approx. Rs.203 Crores

NCC receives two new orders totaling to Rs.530 crore

NCC has received two new orders totaling to Rs.530 crore (exclusive of GST) in the month of March, 2021. Out of these, one order of Rs.342 crore pertains to Irrigation Division, second order of Rs.188 crore pertains to Buildings Division. These orders are received from State Government agencies and do not include any internal orders.

L&T Construction Awarded (Significant*) Contracts for its Various Businesses

The construction arm of L&T has secured orders from prestigious clients for its various businesses.

Power Transmission and Distribution Business:

The Power Transmission & Distribution business has won orders to design and construct two 132/11kV Substations in Dubai, UAE. The scope of these turnkey orders involves supply of advanced equipment including Gas Insulated Switchgear. While enhancing the capacity of the network to cater to the demand growth of the domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors, these substations will also ensure the highest standards of reliability, availability, and efficiency of power supply.

Additional orders have been received for ongoing projects in India.

Building & Factories Business:

The Factories Business of Buildings & Factories has secured another order from a leading cement manufacturer to construct a 3.5 MTPA brown field cement plant in Nimbahera, Rajasthan. The scope includes civil, mechanical and equipment erection Works.
Transportation Infrastructure Business:

The Railways Strategic Business Unit that resides within the Transportation Infrastructure business has won an order from the Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE). This Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC), Package EPC-15A order involves 25 KV Overhead Electrification, Power Supply, Signaling& Telecommunication and associated works for 383.4 RKM/459 TKM of Railway Lines in the Northeast Frontier Railway.

The project is part of “Mission Electrification” initiative of the Central Government aimed to electrify the entire Indian Railway Network to reduce the carbon footprint as well as reduce the expenditure on diesel.

The business is already executing three major EPC contracts from CORE: EPC-01 (Delhi – Jaipur line), EPC-07 (Various sections of the Southern Railway) and EPC-06 (Various sections of the North Western Railway).

Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd., Mumbai has placed an order for 62500 Mtrs worth Rs.18,43,08,920.

Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. - Jaipur, has given an order for 25000 Mtrs worth Rs.9,37,50,736.

NTPC LIMITED, has ordered 4500 Mtrs worth Rs.2,69,37,000.

Obra Thermal Power Station - Sonebhadra (U.P.) has ordered for 500 Mtrs worth Rs.18,49,500.

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd receives 2 orders

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd (the Company) has received the following work orders:

  • Order amounting to Rs.22.38 Crores (Taxes extra as applicable) from Controller General of Defence Accounts, for Setting up of Network Operation Centre.
  • Order amounting to Rs.11.99 Crores (Inclusive of applicable taxes/GST) from M/s. Axom Sabra Siksha Abhiyan Mission, for Deployment of Artificial Intelligence based Identification System for capturing attendance and Management of SDMIS.

IRB Infra wins Rs.828 crore highway project from NHAI in Himachal Pradesh

IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd (IRB) has received a letter of award from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a Rs.828 crore project in Himachal Pradesh.

The company has received Letter of Award from NHAI for the project of Rehabilitation and Upgradation to Four Lane configuration & Strengthening of Punjab/HP Border. of NH-20 (New NH-154) of Pathankot-Mandi Section in the state of Himachal Pradesh on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).

KNR Constructions bags contract for  Rs.1,100 crore

Hyderabad-based KNR Constructions has bagged a Rs.1,100-crore contract for four - laning 48 km on National Highway 75 between BC Road and Periyashanthi (Dharmasthala Cross) proposed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The scope of work is four-laning of Bangalore-Mangalore section from KM 270+270 (Periya Shanti) to KM 318+755 (Bantwal) including 6-lane flyover at Kalladka town in KM 311-KM 314 on NH-75 on EPC basis in the state of Karnataka. The said project is to be completed within a period of 24 months from the appointed date.

McNally Bharat Engg. Co. Ltd, AML JV receives order of Rs.278.48 crore

McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited (Lead partner of Joint Venture) as “McNally-AML (JV)” has received an order of Rs.278.48 Crore from Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) for Pre-Engineered Turnkey execution for design, supply, erection, commissioning and trial run with O&M during DLP etc. for construction of coal handling plant to transport coal from truck receiving hoppers by belt conveyors up to surge bin with rapid loading system (RLS) at Ananta OCP’ (20 MTY) at t Jagannath Area of Talcher Coalfields, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited.

Adani Transport wins Rs.1,040 cr highway contract from NHAI

Adani Road Transport Ltd (ARTL) has won a Rs.1039.90 crore highway project from NHAI in Telangana  for four laning of NH-365A from Kodad to Khammam in the State of Telangana under Bharatmala Pariyojana on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM),” the company said in a BSE filing. The construction period of the project is two years, while the operation period is 15 years.

The Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business of KEC International  has secured orders of Rs.701 crore for T&D projects from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) and other customers in India, East Asia Pacific and the Americas.

The Railways business has secured orders of Rs.366 crore in the emerging segments in India: Semi High-Speed Rail - Order for 2 x 25 kV Overhead Electrification (OHE) & associated works for speed upgradation; and Tunnel Ventilation - order for tunnel ventilation system and associated works.

The Civil business has secured orders of Rs. 318 crore from reputed private players for infra works in the cement, residential and metals & mining segments in India, while the Cables business has secured orders of Rs.44 crore for various types of cables in India and overseas.

L&T Construction Awarded (Significant*) Contracts for its Various Businesses

The construction arm of L&T has secured orders fromprestigious clients foritsvarious businesses.

Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business:

The Heavy Civil Infrastructure business of L&T Construction has secured an EPC order to construct a New Four-lane Bridge (parallel to the existing Vikramshila Setu) from Km 8+080 to Km 14+309 including approaches across river Ganga on the newly declared NH-131B at Bhagalpur in the state of Bihar.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 48 months.

Water & Effluent Treatment Business:

The Water & Effluent Treatment business of L&T Construction has bagged a design, build and operate order from Municipal Corporation, Amritsar for engineering, procurement & construction of bulk water supply system in the city of Amritsar.  The project is part of Punjab Municipal Services Improvement Project (PMSIP) and is funded by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the lending arm of World Bank Group. The project aims to migrate from rapidly depleting and contaminated decentralized ground water sources to centralized surface water source to supply potable water to the city, to achieve sustainability.

The scope includes the design & construction of an offtake chamber, raw water sump & pumphouse, 440 MLD water treatment plant, clear water reservoir & pumphouse, transmission pipelines, overhead service reservoirs, SCADA with control room for full operation and control automation of all systems right from raw water drawl to delivery at all Over Head Service Reservoirs (OHSR).

The project is designed to cater safe & potable drinking water to 22 lakh population in the city. This is the third drinking water supply project bagged during the year from Punjab. 

Building & Factories Business:

The Buildings & Factories business of L&T Construction has secured an order from a prestigious client to constructa Commercial Office Space at Gurgaon with a built-up area of 1.2 Mn sq. ft. The building comprises 4 Basements + Ground + 24 floors. The scope of works includes Civil / Structure works & Common area finishes. As a part of the sustainable and green design initiatives, the project will be a “3-star GRIHA Rating” certified building upon completion.

The Factories arm of the business has secured an order from a leading Indian paint manufacturer to construct a Paint Manufacturing Plant in Sandila, UP. The scope of work involves Civil, Structural and Piling works.
