Does your company use India as a manufacturing base for exports.

We started the facility and trained our employees and vendors to maintain the quality to address the export market. We completed our 50 per cent export target in the first year itself and we already ship our machines to Qatar, Bahrain, Iran, and Nepal. Our product quality and technical awareness, and service oriented mindset, is our advantage in India.  The world market consider China as copy cats and hopeless to deal with, as they are unable to understand and identify the term quality in their dictionary. This could be a great opportunity for India, and the ‘Make in India’ as well as GST effort from government, is definitely a game changer. We already have dealers and sales agents in South East Asia, Middle East, Africa, Iran, and Europe, and are participated in trade shows in Bangladesh, Nepal, Dubai, Kenya and Sri Lanka.

Your outlook for the domestic market.

Government of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is taking great steps to improve overall situation of the country. Construction activities related to Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Infrastructure, seems to improve heavily in 2018. We need some patience and right products for entry level markets with a cost effective and quality solution. The corrections are happening in different levels, which ultimately results into better structure and growth rate. We are very keen to associate with private players or government projects related to housing, road and railway constructions, as well as river and canal linings. There is a long way to go and Forest Press is well equipped to support the overall development of the country.

How was EXCON 2017 for you as an Exhibitor and what is the general business sentiment?

This was a very good exhibition compared to early ones considering the number of footfalls, quality of visitors and awareness build up in the construction segment for organised and better solutions. Excon is getting bigger and better as I am personally participating from the first Excon and the new hall is really big and the access from gate is little far but otherwise all looks perfect for Indian industries. Other than India the visitors from abroad attended this show in large numbers which shows the success of Excon. The quality is really paying off and you could feel that actually the visitors and even exhibitor wise, the number of Chinese exhibitors are very less, which shows that people are looking for quality. Most of the visitors are very seriously looking for latest technologies and products which seems the market is improving.
