Contracts Awarded

Value Rs.280 cr.


Petron Engineering Construction has received purchase order from JSW Steel, for Supply, Fabrication, Erection and Alignment of prefabricated steel structure for Blast Furnace 2 and Raw material handling system (RMHS) Conveyor Gallery, and Junction House at Dolvi, Raigad, in Maharashtra for an approximate value of Rs.280 crore (Incl. GST). Petron Engineering Construction is a construction and engineering company. It has a valuable experience in the fields of refinery (reformers and crackers), power and cement plants, petrochemical and fertilizer plants; insulation and refractory, fabrication works along with electrical and instrumentation works.


Value Rs.1,483 cr.


Gayatri Projects has won a Rs.1,483-crore irrigation project for constructing Sri Komaravelli Mallanna Sagar Reservoir with a capacity of 50 TMC (thousand million cubic feet). The order is part of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation project.


Value Rs.3,200 cr.


NBCC Ltd has bagged Rs.3,200 crore project from the Union Finance Ministry to develop a residential-cum-office complex in Mumbai. The LoI was granted by Department of Customs and Excise for planning, designing and construction of office complex and residential quarters at Wadala, Mumbai.


Value Rs.252 cr.


Pennar Industries Ltd has bagged orders worth Rs.252 crore across its business units. Its systems and projects unit bagged order for coaches from Integral Coach Factory and Modern Coach Factory. It has also received orders for module mounting structures from Tata Power, L&T, Sterling & Wilson, and Sri Chakra Cement among others. One export order for CDW tube has been received from USA and European clients and the industrial components unit received repeat orders for hydraulics from Bailey and BEML. Steel products orders from Tata Projects, L&T, Elecon, SNC, Megha Engineering, NTPC, Shapoorji & Pallonji are for supplying building components. The unit has also secured an order for collecting electrodes from GE Power along with orders for automobile products from VECV and Prabha Auto. Further, the unit has got orders for sheet piles from RR Constructions, Balaji Impex, and others.

Nila Infrastructures has received an EPC contract worth Rs.51.11 crore from Adani Group for construction of “Inspire Business Park” Project (basement and towers) at Shantigram, Ahmedabad. The project scope includes 400,000 sq ft built-up area to be completed by October 15, 2018.

Sadbhav Engineering has been declared as successful bidder by the Gujarat government for two projects worth Rs.900 crore. The projects include upgradation of Sayla-Bamanbore and Bagodara-Limbdi sections of National Highway 8 (new NH 47) in Gujarat, Sadbhav Engineering said in a filing to the BSE. The company has been declared the successful bidder (L1) in respect of the bid invited by Road and Building Department, Government of Gujarat for the two projects in EPC Mode for aggregating value of Rs.900 crore.

The construction arm of EPC major L&T has bagged orders worth Rs.2,170 crore across various business segments, including water treatment and power transmission. L&T’s Water & Effluent Treatment Business (in a joint venture) won an order worth Rs.1,547 crore for a major reservoir, which involves formation of an earth bund of length 4.3 km with a height of 55 m at its maximum with other associated works. L&T’s Power Transmission & Distribution vertical has bagged orders worth Rs.623 crore, including a major order from Power Grid Corporation for the supply and execution of +320kV Pugalur–Trichur high-voltage, direct current (HVDC) electric power transmission line, which is a part of Power Grid's project to improve power supply in the Southern region.

Another order has been received by L&T from Eastern Power Distribution Company of AP Ltd (APEPDCL) for providing underground cable works in Visakhapatnam. The order includes modernizing the power system network connecting seven 33/11kV substations by replacing the high-tension and low-tension overhead lines with underground power cables.

L&T, in consortium with partners, has also received an international order from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) for the supply and construction of a 500kV transmission line in Thailand.

MEP Infrastructure Developers has won a contract for toll collection at Delhi entry points from specified commercial vehicles for a period of five years. MEP will act as contractor for South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), the lead Corporation acting on behalf of all three Corporations for Toll and Environment Compensation Charges (ECC) collection, for a period of five years for Rs.1,206 crore a year payable to SDMC on a weekly basis. The operations will begin after complying with the statutory formalities, including submission of Performance Security and signing of contract, the company said in a statement.

Shapoorji Pallonji (SP) has bagged a Rs.2,600 crore project to redevelop the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) complex in the national capital into an exhibition-cum-convention centre. The ITPO complex at Pragati Maidan has been a venue for global events such as the India International Trade Fair, World Book Fair, and Petrotech. The Centre plans to host the flagship auto expo and other mega events like the G20 meetings once the property is redeveloped. Stretched over two years, the project includes a state-of-the-art convention centre with a capacity to seat 7,000 people, almost five times the capacity of Vigyan Bhawan. The contract includes building meeting halls, lounges, and create basement parking space for about 4,800 cars. Capacity addition for exhibition space of about 80,000 sq m along with supporting infrastructure is envisaged for later. The project was earlier estimated to cost Rs.2,254 crore, but it rose to Rs.2,600 crore due to roll out of GST.

Thermax Group has won a contract worth $43 million (Rs.276 crore approximately) from a leading UAE cement company for a turnkey captive power plant. Scope of supply includes design, engineering, manufacturing, construction and commissioning of the solid fuel-based power plant with two CFBC boilers. It will also be supplying emission control equipment and water treatment plant for the project, to be commissioned within 18 months.

Blue Star has won mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) orders of over Rs.500 crore in India. It booked Rs.160 crore MEP order from My Home Group in Hyderabad, towards the upcoming My Home Divija, a platinum-rated green building project in Hitec City, the IT hub of Hyderabad. Oasis Realty gave an MEP order for Rs.157 crore towards a mixed-use project in Mumbai, while Sands Infrabuild, Kochi, awarded Rs.145 crore MEP order for Sands Infinit, a 4.2 million sq ft IT park project in Kochi Smart City.

Global EPC major Larsen & Toubro has won orders worth Rs.1975 crore across various business segments. Its power T&D business bagged orders worth Rs.1,331 crore in Indian and international markets. Orders include in GCC for turnkey construction of 132/11 kV and 33/11 kV substations, and 132 kV cable feeders. Domestic market includes a rural electrification contract from Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam (JBVNL) under the Deendayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), involving design, engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of 33/11 Kv substations, 33 kV, 11 kV and LT lines, BPL connections, etc. for electrification of the Deogarh district in Jharkhand. L&T Construction won orders worth Rs.644 crore, including a convention centre in Ranchi, Jharkhand, an EPC order from Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad (MEGA) Company Ltd. for track works of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-1. L&T has also bagged construction orders worth Rs.2,525 crore, including jobs totaling Rs.2,271 crore bagged by the company’s metallurgical and material handling business. It also won orders for manufacturing and supply of material handling equipment. L&T won orders for construction jobs worth Rs.254 crore from other sectors, like the power transmission and distribution, and smart world businesses.

McNally Bharat Engineering Company has bagged an EPC order worth Rs.514 crore order for a coal-handling plant of 8 tpa capacity, along with allied infrastructural facilities and operation and maintenance for two years. It will also supervise and handhold the Manoharpur Coal Mine of Odisha coal and power for one year.

Mercator has won a maintenance dredging contract with Director General Naval Project, Visakhapatnam. The contract value is Rs.38.88 crore and the contract work is 12 months. The work has to be completed by FY18.



Value Rs.16 cr.


A joint venture of Odisha-based ARSS Infrastructure Projects Ltd, ARSS-LGPPL has been awarded a work order worth Rs.15.78 crore by East Coast Railway. The scope of the work includes “Jagdalpur-Koraut doubling: supplying, transporting and stacking of 90,000 cum of contractors’ hard tone machine crushed track ballast as per railway specifications between Ambagaon-Khadapa stations (from Km 270.40 to Km 244.00) on KK line of WAT division of East Coast Railway. Incorporated in 2000, ARSS Infrastructure Projects engages in the infrastructure construction segment including highways, buildings, and railways.


Value Rs.235  cr.


Vascon Engineers bagged a Rs.235.76 crores sub-contract from Shapoorji Pallonji for civil construction in Andhra Pradesh. Contract involves construction of affordable housing in Adoni Municipal Area and Nandyal Municipal Area of Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh. The work has to be completed within 13 months from the date of receipt of work order.

KNR Constructions’ joint venture KNR -HES-ACPL has bagged an order worth Rs.884.47. for constructing of Konda Pochamma Sagar for a capacity of 15 tmc in Telangana to supply water for irrigation projects. The project has to be completed within 18 months from the appointed date.


Value Rs.391.45 cr.


Bajaj Electricals Ltd, has bagged an order worth Rs.391.45 crore from Transmission Corporation of Telengana Ltd. The scope of the work includes supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 400 KV QMDC line, from 400 KV NTPC common point (end of multi circuit tower) to 400 KV Narsapur substation on turnkey basis. The order has a completion period of 18 months.
