It doesn’t require a dictionary to deduce from his company’s name that it implies that quintessential quality so required in construction – Ability. When Rahul Katyal founded Capacit'e Infraprojects barely a couple of years ago he was single minded in the pursuit of his objective – building tall structures in major metros. It was solely on the strength of Katyal’s industry experience, human capital and personal commitment that the construction firm was phenomenally enabled to catapult into the big league. He has been instrumental in building Capacit’e from a start up soliciting business to an institution built on systems able to attract repeat orders and in-bound enquiries. This is reflected in the sales for 2013-14 crossing Rs 273 crore and an order book in excess of Rs 3500 crore. Driven by a passion to excel, Katyal is known to plan, communicate and implement systems and procedures in quick time to meet the growing demands of an ever-increasing order book. He is also totally connected with each project in respect of programme, progress, payment, resources, decisions, QHSE compliances, reconciliations and profitability.





Ready-mix Rajah

VG Sakthikumar, Whole Time Director, Operations, SCHWING Stetter India has been associated with the company since its inception in India in 1998. He has over two decades of industry experience in the ready-mix concrete business. Sakthikumar took charge as Chief Operating Officer in 2006, and since then has made significant contributions to building the brand. Having consolidated SCHWING Stetter’s position in India, he now also handles the company's business for the SAARC and ASEAN regions from India. His prolific career began with Greaves Cotton, where he headed the sales operation for the Southern region. Going forward, he joined M/s Hoesch Rothe Erde (Thyssen Group, Germany). He is the convener of the membership panel of the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers' Association (ICEMA) and also the Chairman of Mechanisation Committee of the Builder’s Association of India (BAI). Sakthikumar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the School of Management, Pondicherry University.

Sanjay Sharma, CMD, Wood Barn India set up the company in 2006. Wood Barn is the first firm to offer wooden houses in India. He is a first generation entrepreneur with a versatile experience in establishing and successfully running various businesses in the core area of Building Habitat (like Durian Furniture, OIKOS paints and Interasia PU – with technical collaboration and equity partnership with Oak Leafs Reproduction Ltd. U.K.). He owns one of the leading furniture outlets, Laurel Furniture and O2 Furniture in Delhi/NCR and Ludhiana, and has an extensive network of individual and corporate clients. Under his able leadership Wood Barn India has successfully completed some prestigious projects like Tamara Resort, Coorg, SKI Resort, Auli, Micasa Resort, Goa to name a few. Impressed by the success of his firm IIM Udaipur has presented it as a case study in their curriculum.





A mechanical engineer from the College of Engineering, Guindy, with post-graduation in management from XLRI Jamshedpur, N K Ranganath is the Managing Director of Grundfos Pumps India Pvt. Ltd. from its inception in 1998. He has 34 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Design, Project Management, Finance, HR and General Management. Ranganath is experienced in the manufacture of boilers, burners, incinerators, pollution control and energy recovery equipment and has also been involved in setting up small captive power plants and high tension transmission lines in the Middle East. For the last fifteen years, his focus in Grundfos has not only been on setting up the company and its production facilities, but also to build the brand and propagate the concept of life cycle costs, energy efficiency and water conservation. He has been President of the Madras Management Association, Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Council of CII and the Chairman of AEEE (Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy).Ranganath is currently part of the CII National Committees on Manufacturing, Water, CSR and Skill Development.
