Case India launched new crawler dozer models and upgraded 1107EX soil compactor at bauma CONEXPO INDIA, further strengthening its position as the Indian market leader in vibratory compactors segment for more than two decades. The company won the award for the 2nd Best Ecofriendly Machine at CONSTRUCTION OPPORTUNITIES EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2016. ABHIJIT GUPTA, BRAND LEADER, CASE INDIA spoke to PANJAMI VIVEK on the new product launches and the company’s future plans.

 

On your assessment of BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016 as a trade fair and business generator

It provides an opportunity to meet customers from all over the world and understand their requirements. Elaborate on your products and technologies launched at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016

We launched two new models of dozers - Crawler Dozers 1650L and 2050M range from 13 to 20 tonnes operating weight and run a Tier III FPT Industrial engine, significant for the mining sector. We also showcased a grader and have introduced a skid steer, which has been successful. Over the past few years, we have made a significant effort in investing in products for India as we see great opportunities in the future.

 

On the demand for construction equipment going forward

CE market is expected to show positive growth by 2020. CASE India has a legacy of excellent quality products and has been a major contributor towards greater efficiency and productivity of resources in India. Our priority is to provide customers with the cost-efficiency and performance that they expect from CASE equipment. Adding to the ongoing product development, we have also enhanced the manufacturing processes to best suit the world class manufacturing standards through which we deliver the most robust, reliable and high quality products. We have strengthened our distribution with an extensive network of around 70 dealers with over 300 touch points spanning the length and breadth of the country.

For a global full liner company such as CASE India, introduction of newer equipment for Indian requirements is only a matter of time and right opportunity. We are committed to remain sensitive to the market needs and are confident to match it with agility.

 

Future Outlook for your company and industry

We expect significant growth and are positive in terms of increase in volume for the next year. Hence, we are bringing new products because we are seeing new opportunities to cater to the demand of customers, who are becoming more deserving and demanding. Indeed, the customer is becoming increasingly discerning and demands products with higher efficiency and performance, especially in applications where the project needs to be delivered within a certain timeframe. We have a complete family of construction equipment products.

                                             

After-sales & other value added services:

After-sales service is definitely an interesting focus area for us. We are doing our bit and are increasing our customer focus. We are placing service people in the farthest areas exclusively to shorten lead time. We are also investing in distribution of parts and will have warehouses to cater to some of these farther areas.

We offer product support throughout CASE Centres providing spare parts, manuals and technical support to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. All spare parts can be ordered from the CASE dealers and are stocked at the CASE central parts warehouse across India.

The company has also introduced Customer-Driven Product Definition (CDPD) process wherein they invite equipment users to participate in defining and improving new products. This further helps to understand the customer needs in order to develop and test new models basis customer specifications. The company has factory trained technicians ensuring top-notch service professionals are working on equipment maintenance needs by providing a thorough service for the everyday wear and tear of the machines. Through CASE India customer care centres and dealers, the customers have access to world-class equipment and aftermarket support along with industry-leading warranties and flexible financing.

CASE INDIA 1107 EX SOIL COMPACTOR SNAPSHOT:

The CASE 1107EX soil compactor features a new FPT Industrial S8000 3.9 litre engine that delivers 100 hp at 2200 rpm and torque of 435 Nm at 1300 rpm. The turbo after cooled engine with internal Exhaust Gas Recirculation ensures best-in-class fuel economy. The maximum applied force in the range of 34 tonnes is among the best in the industry. The hydrostatic variable speed control ensures the CASE 1107EX travels at the perfect speed for every type of soil, resulting in a uniform compaction.
