MANITOU LAUNCHES HIGHEST TELEHANDLER

The world’s highest capacity telehandler has been introduced by the Manitou Group. The 35 tonne capacity MHT-X 14350 made its formal appearance flanked by three new flameproof mining machines at an exhibition in South Africa. With a nominal lift capacity of 35 tonsy  on its 14 m duplex turret, the Manitou MHT-X 14350 will deliver an unprecedented level of mobile handling capacity to surface mining, heavy and general logistics industries. The latest telehandler is a robust rough terrain, all-purpose vehicle with its emphasis on handling capabilities, safety and operator comfort. The model features a 7.2 litre, 240 kW Mercedes-Benz engine delivering 1,300 Nm to cater for the mining and heavy industrial sectors, it is reported.

 

CASE STRONG ON AFRO ASIA

Backhoe loader manufacturer CASE Construction has announced a new dealership for South Karnataka. It has appointed Afro Asia Equipments Private Limited which is is part of the MB Group, to sell and support CASE backhoe loaders, vibratory compactors, skid steer loaders and other construction equipment from the brand’s wide product offering.  Afro Asia’s territory will cover Bengaluru, Kolar, Mysore, Mandya, Tumkur, Chamarajanagar, Shimoga, Udupi, Dakshina, Kannada, Kodagu, Hassan, Chikmagalur, Ramnagara and Chikballapur districts.

 

KOMATSU GETS INTELLIGENT EXCAVATOR

Komatsu Europe International has launched a new excavator which purports to have the world’s first intelligent machine control. The new PC210LCi-10 excavator contains features such as fully-integrated intelligent machine control and guidance systems which contribute to job site efficiency, accuracy and saving of time. From rough digging to finish grading, the new machine could dramatically raise productivity. The machine has operating weights ranging from 22.620kg to 23.480 kg, depending on the configuration, with a net 123kW at 2,000rpm.

 

MANITOWOC CRANE LAUNCH BAUMA CHINA

Crane manufacturer Manitowoc is all set to introduce two new Potain flat top tower crane models at Bauma China exhibition in Shanghai in November. These include the Potain MCT 205 tower crane with a 10 tonne capacity which can lift 1.75 tonne at the end of its maximum jib length of 65 m and a flat top crane, the MCT 85, with a 5 tonne capacity which can lift 1.1 tonnes at the end of its 52 m maximum boom. It is reported both models are manufactured at the company’s Zhangjiagang plant in China. Another 80 tonne rough terrain crane model, RT890E, with a 43.2 m main boom and a reach of 72.5 m will also be displayed.

 

COMANSA JIE TOWER CRANE 

Tower crane manufacturer Comansa Jie is expected to launch a new tower crane at the bauma exhibition in Shanghai next month. It is reported demonstrations of the model will be carried out by remote control at the show and the crane will be erected on a 4.5 metre folding cross-base.  The Linden Comansa subsidiary in China will also be expanding its Hangzhou factory by 38,000 square metres. It is reported the new model will improve the company’s range and allow it to have a better share in both in the domestic market and in neighbouring India.

               

BANGLA FIRM ACI FOR CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT

ACI Motors, a subsidiary of Bangladeshi conglomerate Advanced Chemical Industries, is looking to get into the construction equipment business. It will market and distribute construction equipment of Case Construction Equipment India like loader backhoes, vibratory compactors, wheel loaders, graders and skid steer loaders in Bangladesh. It is reported ACI will import wheel loaders manufactured in Case's Italian unit, graders manufactured in Brazil and skid steer loaders made in the US.

 

LEEBOY GETS SINGAPORE FUND INFUSION

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd’s land systems arm, Singapore Technologies Kinetics Ltd has injected Rs.200 million into its wholly owned subsidiary, SDG Kinetics Pte Ltd (SDGK), to provide support to LeeBoy Construction Equipment Private Limited’s operations in India. The Bengaluru based equipment firm designs and manufactures high performance road construction and excavation equipment which boosts operational efficiency and productivity of companies in the infrastructure sector.

 

LOXAM LEV BUYS RUTHMANN PAIR

The French subsidiary of Loxam Lev has bolstered its fleet with two Ruthmann truck mount models with enhanced working height performance range Steiger T 460( 46 m)  and Steiger T 540 (54 m). It is reported the company is  making both models available at its St. Etienne-du-Rouvray facility outside Rouen in Normandy.

 

GENERATOR FROM JCB

JCB Power Products division has launched a brand new hybrid generator along with its new ten-model QS range of standard machines to address the mass market. It is reported the Inteli-Hybrid generator which derives from the QS design includes batteries to supply power without the engine running in periods of low load. The QS range is powered by ‘JCB Diesel by Kohler’ units for the smaller models.  With fewer emissions and low fuel consumption a 100 kVA generator can use 100 litres of fuel every day running at low load. Stopping the engine for eight hours and running from the batteries in low load periods saves 40 litres of fuel every day. The batteries can be charged using mains electricity if required, as well as renewable energy sources such as wind or solar power.
