Adani wins power transmission bid for Uttar Pradesh power plant Value Rs 15,600 cr


Adani Group company Adani Transmission Limited has won the bid for laying the transmission line for the 1980 megawatt (MW) Ghatampur thermal power plant in Uttar Pradesh. The plant is estimated to cost `156 billion, while the contract for laying 4 transmission lines for the unit has been awarded for a consideration of `22.60 billion. The contract would be valid for 35 years and the state power utility would pay rent for using these transmission lines for relaying power. The power plant is likely to go full steam by 2011, although a 660 MW unit is projected to be complete by November 2020, followed by two other 660 units by May 2021 and November 2021 respectively.

 

 

 

BGR Energy bags 2 orders from Nuclear Power Corp Value Rs 430 cr


BGR Energy recently declared that it has secured two orders worth of `4.31 billion from Nuclear Power Corporation of India for Kudankulam Nuclear Power projects -3&4. The company bagged `345 crore order for design & detailed engineering, manufacture, procurement, supply, etc., of 400KV & 230KV Switchyards and BoP electrical areas for Kudankulam Nuclear Power projects – 3 & 4. The second order worth of `86.2 crore for loading/unloading, transportation & handling at site, storage, civil works, etc., of 400KV & 230KV Switchyards and BoP electrical areas for Kudankulam Nuclea

 

 

 

Om Metals Bags power house project Value Rs 92 cr


Jaipur-based Om Metals Infraprojects Ltd, part of the Om Kothari group of companies recently announced that the company in a joint venture with Patel Engineering Ltd, has bagged a contract worth `92 crore approx on upstream of power house pertaining to phase 1 of Kundah Pump storage Hydro Electric project (1×125 MW) in Nilgiri District from TANGEDCO. The scope of the project includes for design, engineering, supply, transport, execution and commissioning of all components of hydro mechanical works and steel liner for pressure shaft and penstocks.

 

 

 

L&T Construction bags bridge construction project in AP Value Rs 1387 cr


The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro has bagged an order for construction of a bridge across the Krishna river in Andhra Pradesh. The `1,387 crore project has been awarded by the Amaravati Development Corporation Ltd (ADCL). L&T has also been entrusted with the operation and maintenance of the bridge for five years. According to a BSE filing by the company, the construction arm of L&T will construct a bridge across the river Krishna at Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. The bridge will connect Pavitrasangamam in Vijayawada and N10 road in Amaravati.

 

 

 

CG Power Bags order order from the Indian Railways Value Rs 319 cr


Avantha Group Company CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd (CGPISL) has bagged a large order from the Indian Railways valued at `3,190 million to supply Under Slung Electrics for Diesel Electric Tower Car (DETC). More than 1000 DETCs would be required for electrification and thereafter for inspection and maintenance in the coming years. The scope of supply of each Diesel-electric propulsion system consists of integrated under slung power pack comprising of diesel engine and alternator, power rectifiers, traction motors with both side suspension arrangement with accessories, controlling devices with digital control signals. The scope of supply also includes installation and testing of the complete propulsion system at ICF Chennai and commissioning of systems on DETCs all across India.

 

 

 

Linde India Bags Order From IOCL Value Rs 23.773 cr


Linde India Limited has bagged an order from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for the project design, engineering, fabrication, supply, inspection, site construction and installation work, commissioning, operational support and maintenance of supplied items for capacity augmentation through oxygen enrichment of sulphur recovery units at Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The work is estimated to cost `23.773 crore

 

 

 

McNally Bharat Engg Co bags two orders from Power Grid Corporation of India Value Rs 61 cr


McNally Bharat Engg Co has recently bagged two orders from Power Grid Corporation of India. The project is estimated to cost `61,43,87,174. The orders is for supply goods contract for substation Package-USD 801 for extension of (i) 765kv Ranchi 8/8 and (ii) 400KV subhashgram S/S under POWER GRID work associated with Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme –XVII, as per a a filing with BSE.

 

 

 

J Kumar Infra Bags PWD orders Value Rs 225 cr


J Kumar Infraprojects Ltd, a Mumbai-based infrastructure provider has recently received a Letter of Acceptance from Public Works Department, Housing Development Division, New Delhi for an amount of `178.73 crore. The company has also secured an additional work order from Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Ltd for an amount of `46.97 crore for ongoing work i.e., construction of Ram Manohar Lohiya Rajya Prashasan Evam Prabandhan Academy at Lucknow.

 

 

 

L&T Construction recieves order from Narmada Valley Development Authority Value Rs 2,210 cr


The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro has received an order from the Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA), Government of Madhya Pradesh, for the execution of Narmada - Kshipra multipurpose project to lift 15 cumecs of water from the Omkareshwar reservoir, of which 10 cumecs will help bring 30,000 Hectares of land under irrigation. The state goverment plans to to lift 15 cumecs of water from the Omkareshwar reservoir, of which 10 cumecs will help bring 30,000 Hectares of land under irrigation. The remaining 5 cumecs of water will cater to domestic and industrial use in the Dewas, Ujjain and Shajapur districts of Madhya Pradesh, according to a BSE filing by the company. L&T has also received an order from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) for the execution of an Integrated Effluent Treatment Plant (IETP) for Visakh refinery modernisation project at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

 

 

 

Cords Cable bags Hydrocarbon bulk contracts Value Rs 40 cr


Cords Cable Industries Ltd, India’s largest instrumentation cable maker has been awarded 3 bulk contracts towards designing, engineering & supplying of fire resistant signal cables, conventional type instrumentation cables and power cables to be used in the Hydrocarbon sector in the states of Haryana, Assam and Gujarat. As per reports, the combined total estimated value of the said contracts is `40 crore. The contracts are scheduled to commence immediately and would be executed over a period of 5 months.

 

 

 

L&T construction arm has won orders worth Rs 5,704 crore in domestic market.


Larsen & Toubro's construction arm has won orders worth Rs 5,704 crore in domestic market. The water and effluent treatment business of L&T Construction has secured orders worth Rs 5,704 crore. According to the company, L&T said it has won two major orders from the Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA), government of Madhya Pradesh, for execution of Indira Sagar Project- Parwati phases I and II and Kalisindh phase I Micro Lift Irrigation Schemes. The company has also received an EPC order from the Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam Maryadit for execution of Buxwaha Multi Village Rural Water Supply Scheme.

 

 

 

L&T Construction bags order for Dhaka Metro Value Rs 3,193 cr


L&T Construction has bagged a Rs 3,191 crore order from Dhaka Mass Transit Company for construction of a railway line for Dhaka Metro. As per the company, it has secured the order in JV with Marubeni Corporation (Japan) through an international competitive bidding process. The railways strategic business group of L&T Construction's transportation infrastructure business has won a major design and build order from the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (MRT - line 6).Line 6 is the first route of the Mass Rapid Transit system in Bangladesh. The project is funded by the Japan International Corporation agency (JICA) through bilateral aid from Japan to Bangladesh.

 

 

 

Ashoka Buildcon subsidiary receives arbitral award Value Rs 383.80 cr


Highways builder Ashoka Buildcon received an arbitral award of `383.80 crore against various claims filed by it. Ashoka Infrastructure (SPV), which had executed Pune Shirur Road Project in Maharashtra has received an arbitral award of `383.80 crore against various claims filed by the SPV, said the company in a filing. The project had been awarded by Maharashtra Government for four-laning and strengthening of Pune Ahmednagar Road SH 60. The toll collection at the said project had been stopped since August 8, 2014.

 

 

 

 L&T Construction bag project worth Rs 2,112 crore in the domestic market.


L&T Construction has bagged project worth Rs 2,112 crore in the domestic market. The buildings and factories business of L&T Construction has secured orders worth `1,565 crore. Power transmission and distribution business has secured orders worth `547 crore. The company has also won an order from Airport Authority of India for the modernisation of Chennai Airport. This brown field project is to be completed in two phases within stringent time lines and involves the construction of 2.1 million Sq. ft. of passenger terminal building including basement, finishing works, electro-mechanical works and airport systems. It has received another order from a developer for the construction of multi-level car parking with an integrated commercial mall at Chennai airport. Under its power transmission and distribution business, the company has secured orders worth `547 crore for construction of EHV Substations.

 

 

 

MEP Infrastructure Developers bags toll contract from NHAI Value Rs 85 cr


MEP Infrastructure Developers has bagged a toll collection contract from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at the Athur toll plaza in Tamil Nadu for 85 crore. As per the contract, `85.05 crore will be payable to NHAI on a weekly basis over a period of one year.

 

 

 

L&T bags project worth Rs 4,033 crore in Buildings & Factories business unit


The construction arm of Mumbai-based Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has bagged project worth Rs 4,033 crore for its Buildings & Factories business unit. Buildings & Factories IC has won a prestigious order from a reputed government client for the design & construction of 1,125 Nos of Residential towers of G+3 floors under PMAY Scheme at Visakhapatnam, Prakasam, Guntur, and Krishna Districts in Andhra Pradesh, to be completed within stringent timelines. Another order also has been secured from a leading cement manufacturer for the construction of cement plants in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on the design and build model. The business has bagged another turnkey order from a government client in Patna (Bihar) to establish a cancer institute along with the supply, installation and commissioning of medical equipment

 

 

 

L&T wins orders worth Rs 3800 crore


L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering, a wholly owned subsidiary of L&T, in consortium with TechnipFMC, has won two significant orders from Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited (HURL), a joint venture company of IOCL, NTPC, CIL, FCIL and HFCL.The engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) contracts are for setting up two fertilizer plants of 2, 200 TPD Ammonia & 3, 850 TPD Urea at Barauni (Bihar) and Sindri (Jharkhand).The orders is in excess of `3,800 crore, consists of two 2, 200 TPD Ammonia plants.

 

 

 

L&T wins orders worth Rs 1504 crore


The heavy civil infrastructure business of L&T Construction has bagged orders worth Rs1,504 crore in the domestic market.The marine infrastructure project from the Cochin Shipyard is for part design and construction of a dry dock along with associated works, the company elaborated in a regulatory filing.L&T GeoStructure, also part of L&T Construction, has received an order from the Kalinga International Coal Terminal Paradip for construction of piling, diaphragm wall and berth deck at Paradip Port, Odisha.
