Material benefits

Global construction equipment major JCB is offering quality material handling products in India as elsewhere in the world.

The world’s third largest construction equipment brand, JCB, has 22 plants on four continents including at its home base in the UK, India, Brazil, the USA, China and Germany and employs more than 10,000 people worldwide.  The company  manufactures more than 300 different machines including:  backhoe loaders; loadall telescopic handlers; tracked and wheeled excavators; wheeled loading shovels; articulated dump trucks; rough terrain fork lifts; mini excavators; skid steers loaders and JCB Vibromax compaction equipment. For agricultural markets, the company produces a range of telescopic handlers and the unique Fastrac tractor.  JCB also manufactures the Teletruk forklift for the industrial sector.

JCB’s investment in new plants, products and customer support continues to underpin future growth. The company has also invested heavily in recent years to design, develop and manufacture a completely new range of material handling products. Waste and recycling industries are on the run, round the clock 365 days a year and their dedication towards waste management has inspired JCB to produce one of the world's most befitting range of machines that are committed to improve the face of the earth.

The powerful JCB 3DX / 4DX / Skid Steer Loader /Excavators that come with a host of attachments, help facilitate hauling, dumping, shredding, clearing and transferring of waste conveniently saving time, energy and the Earth.

In June last year the company unveiled the 20-tonne JS20MH - its first dedicated material handler for the waste and recycling industry. The machine is aimed at public and private waste management companies handling municipal solid waste (MSW) in civic amenity sites, transfer stations, materials recycling facilities (MRFs) and also specialist material recycling companies.

JCB SKID STEERS

In India JCB offers two variants of New Generation Skid Steers (135, 155), and with its mono boom design, the operator has exceptional visibility of 270 degree around the machine, which maximizes productivity as compared to conventional twin arm designs.

In addition to the mono boom design, an operator is able to enter and exit the machine from the side, rather than through the work area, providing for a safe working environment. All of this is achieved while maintaining side to side weight balance, offering unrivalled productivity on the job site.

The major features of JCB Skid steer loader are as follows;

  • World’s Safest
  • Entry and exit from the left side of the machine, clear of the loader arm & attachments
  • An average of 60 per cent better visibility
  • World’s Most Comfortable
  • Class leading comfort with over 30 per cent larger cab on large platform and over 40% larger cab on small platform
  • World’s Most Productive
  • 21 per cent more productive in applications
  • Industry Leading Serviceability
  • Exceptional Cost of Ownership
  • Class leading fuel consumption

The small, compact structure of the machine is designed to operate in restricted areas and hence, can be used for wide range of applications such as agriculture, industry, construction, demolition, material handling and maintenance. JCB Skid Steer comes with pressure sealed cab and low effort controls which helps in reducing operator fatigue. JCB has designed wide range of attachments for its Skid Steer range such as Sweeper Collectors, Augers, Breakers, Industrial Fork, Grapple Muck Fork and Pallet fork etc

JCB ‘LIFTALL’

JCB products have always set new standards in the industry. JCB - the largest manufacturer of construction equipment started producing the ‘Liftall’, its indigenously developed pick-and-carry crane in mid 2008. It currently offers three models, the Liftall 1253, Liftall 1202, Liftall 1554 and Liftall 1553.  All models are powered by a 49 horsepower Kirloskar engine and the first two have a maximum lift capacity of 12 tonnes, while the third model has a lift capacity of 15 tonnes. They are all produced at the company’s Ballabgarh plant – the world’s largest Backhoe Loader plant.

Now, with JCB LIFTALL 1553, JCB is once again lifting performance to newer heights.

JCB Liftall New 15T model 1553 can lift maximum load of 15T at a distance of 1.6m from the center of the front wheels. Liftall 1553 is with slotted boom, which provides more working radius and productivity due to its auto rope self compensation mechanism. The JCB Liftall has been designed to deliver “6” key advantages over the main competitors. These are:

  • More Productivity in all material handling applications
  • Less Operation Cost (Better fuel efficiency and less maintenance costs)
  • More Reliability (Robust structures, hydraulics and driveline)
  • More Safety (high visibility cabin, wider front tyre width, 55w working lights for night operation)
  • More Operator Comfort (Spacious cab with heat insulation and lot of storage space)
  • Better Support Best Dealership Network in Industry

The JCB Liftall New 15T model 1553 will work best for erection work, pipe laying, material handling and industrial jobs. The Liftall 1553 is fitted with highly fuel efficient powerful Kirloskar BS – III diesel engine which results in 15% less fuel compared to the main competitor – resulting in Rs 75,000/= saving in a span of 5 years.

Recently, JCB launched Liftall 1554. The New Liftall-1554 is 15T crane with an advantage of 4 part Slotted boom. This provides best in class lift height (15.2 meter), travel speed (30 KMPH), automatic levelling of
load on snatch block hook, unmatched operator cab and visibility and superior components. With the launch of this new  Liftall model, the entire product range has become evenmore robust.

JCB’S JAIPUR BOOST

2013 marked the laying of the foundation stone of JCB's fourth manufacturing plant at Jaipur at an estimated cost of Rs 500 crore. The 115 acre site, coming up in the Mahindra World City special economic zone along the high growth Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor, and bolstered by existing facilities – two at Ballabgarh near Faridabad and one at Pune - will drive innovation further with the launch of new products in the JCB yellow products range and propel India as a major global sourcing centre. With India being a very huge market for the British digger manufacturer the investment at the Jaipur plant is intended to further consolidate its position in India’s construction equipment sector.
